February 12 Kits of Holidays

Welcome to the February 12 Kits, its back to  Christmas for  this month.  Our host is Renee: ItsAPatchworkLife. Renee sent out this fabulous kit, thank you Renee I had so much fun and have tons of leftovers, for later!
Thanks for the photo Kara: KandRDesigns We have
come to rely on Kara for the monthly photo.

Can you see the beautiful stamped background on this one?
I added my own Christmas sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamps

This one has a belly band and is a tri fold like this card HERE if you want to see how to make it.

I loved this paper and wanted most of it to show.

The card below also has a beautiful stamped background that Renee already had stamped for us.

Almost everything in this kit was new to me.( sets and dies I did not have) So that made it lots of fun with a bit of a challenge! I could not remember how to make the Lil Inkers bow, so before you think I am brilliant( or not) to come up with this little banner, know that some of it was just being too lazy to look up how to make the bow. I do like the banner and think it looks nice with the stars.

Thank you again Renee. I can see lots of work went into this kit.

Thank you so much for stoping by! Why not see what the
rest of the girls have made with their kit!

Make it Monday Glitter Trim

This weeks video is by Dawn McVey

Sorry this picture is a bit blurry. I would change a few things …. the green glitter I used,  and I would place the large bottom
leaf above the hearts a bit under the sentiment to
 balance it out.
Hope those of you with cold and snow stay warm and those of you blessed with gorgeous weather give thanks! I will be giving thanks.

Please stop back tomorrow for our 12 Kits of Holidays
Blessings to you!

Dynamic Duos Teal Blues

I know this photo is not very good it was almost dark and I don't like to use flash!

My room is still not put together, but I was dying to ink up this new set from Papertrey Ink. So fast and easy. I know I didn't invent the wheel with this card, but so glad I have both of these sets. They make for super fast and easy cards! As you can see I did quite a bit of stamping off. I made others in different colors, for my daughter

Hope you enjoyed your weekend. We are not ones to watch the Awards shows , maybe country music and that is about it.
I was born in Hollywood and got my Oscar almost 37 years ago!

Make It Monday Pinwheels

Quick post! Sorry I have not been to anyone’s blog in a few days. Hope to catch up soon.

Everyone was showing wonderful pictures of their craft rooms.  I  showed them to my husband. I think he felt a bit guilty... I  mentioned before that I would like some shelves. Well, today he got started. One thing leads to another , paint reorganize.  Friday I spent the day cleaning 3 closest just so I could move an old tall thin drawer into the craft room closet, so much better to put lots of things away  and off my desk.  I have the Pottery barn Bradford corner desk and keep adding to it.

Received  my Papertrey Ink order Friday and I quickly made these barrettes. I will most likely make a flower but thought …hey make a pinwheel and enter it in MIM. Love these new dies and stamps from Papertrey Ink! So easy to make and I think it will be fun for my granddaughters to make them too!

Cant wait to see what you have all been up to!

it up a bit and made it Bird House Spring ! I bought some burlap ribbon from Hobby Lobby and as you can see it die cut very well. My lace is also from Hobby Lobby and I have to say that I love it!
Ok ,the roses and stick pin are from a friend that never lets me say what she gives me.  If you can keep a secret I will give you a hint. Shhh... her name starts with a J and she is Ketp!

Make it Monday : Pinwheels

Ashley’s gave us a video on how to make our own pinwheels.
I do have a pinwheel die and  have made them before, with and without a  die.  I liked Ashley's idea of adding trim. My pinwheel  was a bit large for this tag so I just cut off the tips at an angle.
This tag was NOT for Tommy!

Tommy,my oldest grandson!

Yesterday was our oldest grandsons ( Tommy) 11th birthday. We spent the day with him and his large family. We had so much fun just playing outside will all the kids. They are blessed to live in a wonderful neighborhood with plenty of kids and neighbors that are always there for each other. I mean really Blessed! It's a wonderful loving neighborhood!( Temecula) I can rest easy when my son in law is at work( fireman paramedic) for a few days that my daughter Nichole has help if she needs it.

Everything but the printed paper is from Papertrey Ink!

Now I am off to visit some of the blogs I missed while being away.

Waltzingmouse Blog Hop Doily

I  could not think outside the box this time.
Cant wait to see what everyone else made.
I am a bit late to the party but at least its still going on.

Sometimes I feel bad when I go in my craft room and my husband is home. When he get busy with something I sneak away. Otherwise we play scrabble, and other games .
I used Appleblossom Seeds From Waltzingmouse Stamps. You can’t see in the photo but I did heat emboss the Seed packet and blossom. I am not sure what I will use this for so I left it blank. The lace is from Hobby Lobby and I used this on a card I made before this one but will post on Feb. 20th.
The doily is from Cheery Lynn Designs. The heart
boarder is from Papertrey Ink.
Thank you , hope you are all enjoying a beautiful weekend.
I will be by later to see what everyone has made.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to a dear friend!

 You share your birthday with
my sister Maryjo! So I wont forget.

This little blog hop was put together by Joyce,  for our sweet friend Cathy Weber . When I first started blogging I had no idea what is was to… follow... anyone or even comment. For some reason Cathy decided to follow me, Cathy was always there to encourage me and leave sweet comments. I am not even sure I left comments at that time, it was all so new to me. Cathy still would stop by and comment on my blog. Cathy is so encouraging, and she has some of the cutest cards in blogland!
I miss you not being in the 12 Kits of Christmas
Cathy, but I am very happy to be on the Serendipity
Design Team with you.
I hope you have a wonderful Birthday and its on Saturday !

Stop by to see the rest of your blog party!

PTI Water Color and Colour Q # 176

Papertrey Ink Anniversary water color and ColourQ

These are our girls and the mothers of all our grandchildren.
Nicole the oldest, mother of 6.  Nancy(in the middle)
our third daughter and just had her 3rd. child .
Natalie our second daughter ( on the left), has3 girls.
I was looking for a prom picture , but always in a hurry so
I just took this one from a wedding.
Anyway this picture reminds me of our girls, I have so many pictures of them all together going to school dances.
Since they are all so close in age, and were all in
high school at the same time.
I am not sure what I will use this for but when
I look at it, all I see are my three girls.

I stamped some ink on acetate then added some water
and brushed it on white paper then made the die cut.
I am using this one for Papertrey Ink and ColourQ
