February 12 Kits of Holidays

Welcome to the February 12 Kits, its back to  Christmas for  this month.  Our host is Renee: ItsAPatchworkLife. Renee sent out this fabulous kit, thank you Renee I had so much fun and have tons of leftovers, for later!
Thanks for the photo Kara: KandRDesigns We have
come to rely on Kara for the monthly photo.

Can you see the beautiful stamped background on this one?
I added my own Christmas sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamps

This one has a belly band and is a tri fold like this card HERE if you want to see how to make it.

I loved this paper and wanted most of it to show.

The card below also has a beautiful stamped background that Renee already had stamped for us.

Almost everything in this kit was new to me.( sets and dies I did not have) So that made it lots of fun with a bit of a challenge! I could not remember how to make the Lil Inkers bow, so before you think I am brilliant( or not) to come up with this little banner, know that some of it was just being too lazy to look up how to make the bow. I do like the banner and think it looks nice with the stars.

Thank you again Renee. I can see lots of work went into this kit.

Thank you so much for stoping by! Why not see what the
rest of the girls have made with their kit!

  1. Each of these is prettier than the one before! I love the rustic, country colors. Such beautiful papers and the banner with the stars is so pretty!

  2. OMG that banner might be my favorite part of all, Marybeth! SO clever and it's super sweet with the stars! Love your patterned paper mix on that one, too, so warm and lovely. I saved my cream colored vintage patterned glad I did! Love your card with the red ginham ribbon! :) XO

  3. Marybeth!!! Such a beautiful kit that you received. All your cards are beautiful! I especially love the last one with the Fabulous Frames die, your banner with the stars, the colors is awesome!! I will take some of your weather, please send it soon:)

  4. Wow! Your cards are stunning. Love the one with the belly band and twine ribbon/flower. The PEACE banner is so colorful. Love how you used the red gingham ribbon with the background paper.

  5. What a pretty kit you had to work with Marybeth, love the warm homey feel to it! Your cards are beautiful. I think your banner rather than the Lil Inkers bow is perfect ~ you've probably just staarted a new trend here!!

  6. Look at you all C&S - you did so many brilliant things I am in envy here Marybeth! I love the polaroid frame with the stars, the twine bow with the mix of papers - the print with the dots, and that clean gingham bow one. Well done!

  7. Marybeth it was brilliant of you to come up with that trim using the bow...
    I love it!!
    Reminds me of ribbon!
    They're all fabulous...
but I really love the polaroid frame...
I didn't think to pull it out...
but I think it's because I have too many dies (is that possible?) and forget what I have!!
So happy you enjoyed the kit...
    and isn't that paper fabulous?
So glad I bought extra! :)

  12. All your cards are really wonderful. You did such a great job with all the elements of this kit. I think the last card is my favorite--so clever how you did that bow, and I love your use of that Polaroid frame.

  13. They're all so fabulous, Marybeth! Love the PEACE sentiment with the poinsettia paper and the simple design with the gingham ribbon & pretty paper! My favorite is the one with the polaroid frame. Love how you framed the sentiments. and regardless of how the banner came about, it's look awesome!!

  14. Marybeth all of your cards are so fantastic, you always make the most beautiful cards. You used your patterned papers perfectly. Your last card is really striking and I LOVE how you left the bow unassembled, I thought it was brilliant!I am so glad I have lots of kit left to CASE.

  15. Ooooooooh these are all so lovely!! I love making Christmas cards all year, so it's wonderful to see inspiration from others. I have that same Lil Inkers bow and I had to laugh, when I read that you had forgotten how to use it! haha! I actually love the banner and will be using mine like that in the future!

  16. Marybeth, wow! All of your cards are so stunning. I love what you did with bow, just so clever. I love the way you showcased the patterned paper you choose to use as your backgrounds, so beautiful.

  17. You girls do SUCH an amazing job with these kits! We have more Christmas inspiration than we could ever need. It's a gold mine here with your post today, Marybeth! Each card is more stunning than the one before! You are the Queen of bows and ribbons!!

  18. Such a beautiful array of cards. The first and last are my faves. In fact, I love the last one so much I should probably marry it! ;P

  19. Marybeth, I think I will be CASEing every single one of these with what I have left! Seriously, you get the gold star from me this month. :) That first one with the layered star and trailing twine--swoon! The way you've used the patterned paper and little extras on each card is just brilliant!

  20. What a fabulous set of cards - grreat colours and designs! Beautiful work!

  21. Oh my gosh Marybeth, every one of these cards is magazine worthy this month...they are insanely amazing! I just love the last one, the way you used the bow die was ingenious! Then I love the first and second cards the next best. The second one is so colorful and I love the way you tied the twine, the first one, I love that little tail hanging off the snowflake. You rocked this month!

  22. Wow! These are ALL so Beautiful! You could have all of your cards made well before Christmas!

  23. Marybeth......YOU are a genius!!! I absolutely absolutely LOVE LOVE that last card!!! Using the bow as a little garland!!! GENIUS.....and I'm going to CASE this!!! The poinsettia paper is so pretty with the letters PEACE....(I have a confession that I didn't know the rest of the letters spelled PEACE....I used JOY and maybe I just didnt' spend enough time to decipher them...hehe) I seriously love every. single. one. of your cards this month!!!!
