March 12 Kits of Holidays

Happy Easter!

Welcome to the 12 kits of Holidays, hosted this month by Tracey

Look at all the goodies Tracey sent us! Don't you just love
 all the bright colors!

Thanks again Kara for the photo!

I seem to always make a card with the frame!  The Happy Easter is added from Waltzingmouse Stamps

I was not thrilled with how the one above came out but went
ahead and included it!

I used a fine tip glue pen and added glitter.

I made a hill card about a year ago Here with this same set and just sorta recreated it with the papers from Tracey

Just look at those fun papers!

For the last one I tried to keep it very simple, in honor of Tracey’s  CAS style.  The last minute butterflies are from the
I have to admit I made a few mistakes while making my cards, some I did not even post. I just kept messing up.

Thanks for such a fun ,bright happy kit Tracey!
I am sure you will want to see what the others have made. I know
I cant wait to see what they came up with!

I hope you have a Blessed Easter!

  4. Where do I begin? I love the birds on the hills of different patterns of paper - what a contrast to the b&w top half of the card - makes this one so interesting to look at! I like how you have things at an angle too - like the polaroid and the second one - it just makes them even more fun on top of the bright colors and sweet images. You used a paper clip too!!! I couldn't figure out where to use those! Oooh and of course - can't forget that close up of those glittery sugary eggs... sigh...

  6. OMG--your cards are just fabulous. I don't see any mistakes. I love your patterned hills and last minute butterflies--I wish I had thought of that. And, the frame with the bunny--just darling. Amazing job of glittering up those eggs, and I love how you have your sentiment at a tilt with that little clip--and then you have put buttons and bling on that paper, too.

  7. Wow, Marybeth, you need to be a teacher at the next Patterned Paper online class!! What you have done here is going straight into my CASE inspiration file with the stuff I am learning from the videos in class. The patterned hills? Squee! I can't even believe you said you kept messing up?! You get an A+++ from me!!

Blessed Easter wishes back to you!

  9. Wow, you used the papers SO well! Fabulous job with all the mixing and matching!! I should have taken the pattern class because combining patterns is always a challenge for me. Love your sweet bunny card! The angled frame and the angled sentiment on the next card make much more interesting designs. And great idea to add glitter to the eggs--so pretty! Hope you and the family have a very happy Easter!!

  10. Fabulous cards Marybeth. So many wonderful details and all that layering, I love it. Your hill card is my favorite card and a wonderful way to showcase all of the beautiful patterned paper that Tracey sent. That little frame with the sweet bunny is just too dang cute and your coloring, perfect! I agree with you, I miss Cathy too, in fact when I started peeking at all the cards this morning the first thing I thought of was, will Cathy use one of these windows too? So happy we still have her for our Four of a Kind group. Fabulous cards and wishing you and your family a wonderful Easter.
