Four Of A Kind

My prayers are with all of Boston and those at the race.

I am the new kid on the block of the  four of a kind group!
( ok,…... grown up!)

This is the beautiful kit that Kim sent out!

I love the papers and colors Kim sent out!

I have 12 grandchildren so I placed 12 birds in the trees.
That is a lot of little ones fluttering around and nothing, could
be better!

This is just paper I scored

Is this not a gorgeous die! Its all one piece!

A few of my friends are in a group called 4 of a kind! One of the girls Renee: ItsAPatchworkLife  had to step down because of other commitments. I was very happy that Cathy asked if I wanted to join. Of course I said yes. Well, I was so excited when Kim sent this kit out around the beginning of March…. I thought... wow I better get busy… and that I did. Thinking it was due for the middle of March.  Then I learned we would not be posting until the middle of  April. Well, look at me I was ahead of the game. Kim sent out so many fun things to use . It was very easy to come up with these cards and one magnetic book mark.
I am sure the girls will be missing Renee , I can only hope to fill her shoes.  Well, Im over 5’ 9”so my feet probably wont fit in her tiny shoes anyway. But I can try!
Please stop by and see what the other California girls made. I know I cant wait to see what they came up with.

  2. I can't believe you have 12 grandkids (but I guess that's beside the point, eh?) LOVE all this goodness you created from that kit. Those little birdies are just adorable and so much more special when I think that they represent your kiddos.

  3. Marybeth, welcome to the group! I had not clue you are 5'9", it is hard to tell from the photos I have seen of you, but then I have no clue how tall or short Renee is either, not that it really matters but just found it interesting...now on to your stunning cards. My favorite one is with all the birds in the window. I was really stumped on how to use that piece of paper but not anymore, those birds look like they are having a fun time chatting. Your last card is so pretty too, with your perfect fussy cutting (did you and Joyce take the same fussy cutting class?)on those butterflies and great use of the swirl too. Fabulous collection of cards Marybeth, you fit right in with the rest of us California girls.

  5. Well you certainly made an entrance Marybeth! Your cards are all just stunning. Your first card just made me gasp, then the birds out the window and perfect wainscoting--divine. That gorgeous cover plate die--oh my. Great idea for a bookmark too. You make a great addition to the group.

  6. absolutely gorgeous! All of them - i just love the "supplies" in the first place LOL - such pretty things you had to work with (all my fav colors!) and did you ever work it! And to think you're done early - now wasn't that nice. Now you have time to go back and use up some more of that stuff and show us what ELSE you made ;-)

  8. Well, Marybeth--you hit the ground running with us, and all your cards are fabulous. I adore the card with the 12 birds for 12 grandkids. That is such a sweet idea, and really meaningful, too. I would have thought you took that patterned paper class, with all your fabulous cards featuring the patterned papers. I really love that bookmark that you made--such a clever design. So glad you are part of our group.

  9. Absolutely beautiful Marybeth...you outdid yourself! The card with the window just got pinned, I wish I had seen that vision in my head! Love all those birds outside the window. Perfect. I also really, really like the Just a Note card, the blue patterned paper and the die cut with the butterflies popped up is so bright. Great job with Kim's kit. How funny that these have been ready for a whole month!
