Make It Monday Random Backgrounds

Ashley did this weeks Make it Monday, I couldn't wait to make a card as I missed out on some other great MIM challenges.

Hope everyone is doing well, I have been gone for a bit
 and trying to catch up.
I had a wonderful week with 3 of my 6 sisters in Seattle, staying up till at least 1 am every night and then up early the next day with lots going on. I was so tired when I got home.

I have a few anchor dies and a set on the way, but I did not know I had the Papertrey Ink anchor until I was looking for small stamps to stamp my background. So I feel like I made a great discovery. I found this stamp in Men of Life . I see that my stamping at the top is a bit too many anchors but I didn’t have the time
to remove them.
I am trying to catch up and comment on many blogs, I saw lots of your post but didn't have the time to comment.

I just had to post this picture of our youngest granddaughter Ellie as she is 7 months now.
Wow time goes by so fast.

Men of Life
Hope you have a wonderful week!

  1. Hi Marybeth! Welcome home! So glad to see you posting again. Hope the wedding and sissy time was great.
Have no nautical stamps, so looking forward to my WM order too! Beautiful card, just did a masculine one myself, never have enough of those. Your blues remind me of a day at the beach. Must make a trip to visit SoCal daughter soon! Your little beauty needs to meet my youngest (2). Just a grandma playing matchmaker!

  2. Wonderful card! I thought I was familiar with all of PTI's stamp sets, but obviously not! The naval theme is so popular right now, that I thought this was a new set! How about that--you're right on trend :)

  13. I absolutely love this! I love when I "discover" stamps in my stash. I adore how you used this dies, too. I've got to remember this layout. And your granddaughter is beautiful! Oh my what a darling little girl. What a sweet smile and look at all that gorgeous hair. I was looking at some old pictures of my son and he was still bald at 15 months. I'm glad to see you back. Your trip sounded so fun. I know this is random, but I remember a post a little while back with a picture of two of your sisters, and I've been curious ever since. Do all of your names start with Mary?

  15. I can sooo relate to finding stamps you all forgot about having them somewhere.
I just cleaned up and reorganised my little crafting space and I'm too very happy with all the stuff I rediscovered, ha, ha.
According to my sweet husband ( who keeps asking if I've got enough stuff now) I could start my own craftshop, ha, ha.
And no way I could part from any of my stuff, ha, ha, I enjoy playing with it toooo much.
Oh, your card and background is a great find!
My husband comes from real Dutch eelfishermen, so I always try to incorporate an anchor or such in my cards for him and his family!
Your colourcombo is great and I love how you made the sailing boat pop up.
    Great card!
I'm happy for you, you had such a wonderful time spent with your sisters, that's sooo precious!
Every time my youngest sister from the US visits us we too spend hours together and try to catch up as much as we can!
And your grandchild is so sweet and adorable! Look at all her hair!!
Actually she looks like a model!!!
Sigh, yep time flies indeed, so enjoy your grandchildren as much as you can!
    Bye,

    Marjolein
