In God we trust!

SSCB#35 - Summer's Last Hurrah!!
The design team was asked to use a personal photo as inspiration.
You just need to use a Serendipity Stamp or die on your project! Hope you will join us, you could win 20$ off your order.

When you see this barn you know you are getting close to Yosemite!
I took it with my iPhone and of course the driver wouldn’t stop!

Tuolumne Meadows, Yosemite National Park

This is a photo I took while on vacation in Yosemite, earlier this summer. When I see this, I see the hand of God.
God has blessed this country with so much beauty! This photo inspired me to use this Flag stamp and saying :

We went to Yosemite with our three girls and their families, our son Richard couldn’t make it. The picture was taken on a day my husband and I decided to go for a drive and a few hikes. So glad we did because it was heavenly!
The sale this time is free shipping on any U.S. order over 15$ still the best shipping deal in town!

I stamped the flag three times:
Once on the card stock
Once on patterned paper fussy cut the star square
Then I stamped it on watercolor paper using Tim Holtz Ranger distressed inks ...I used a wet brush to spread the ink in the red lines, then fussy cut that part of the flag.

Cant wait to see what the rest of the talented DT made, you can check them out here:

  1. Marybeth, Beautiful card and beautiful and breathtaking photo's. Love the stamp you used. I am so sorry that you are still hot. We were at 90 today, it was humid but not unbearable. We got some more rain tonight, but it will be a long time before the grass is green again. So much of my yard grass is dead. We have managed to keep the majority of the plants alive. Have a wonderful Wednesday, I will be praying that you get cooler weather. Hugs Sylvia

  3. What a wonderful job you've done with the flag! The paper piecing and the distress inking are gorgeous, Marybeth! Thanks for sharing such an incredible photo too. When the boys are a few years older and we're sure they won't whine about their legs hurting, we'll finally get to explore some of Yosemite!
