ColourQ #130 |
I changed the small flower center to a larger button last min. I think I like this better |
Hi ! After making this card I realized it's a bit top heavy, but the girl it's going to will not mind at all. For the MIM challenge Erin Lincoln showed us a new way to die cut after a computer generated sentiment. I have done this before , but she showed us a neat trick! I used the PTI Tie die and punched a hole then used a brad toped it off with the center of the sunflower die, and some MS glitter. I also used the Spellbinders Square die.
It's my daughters birthday so I have to run. Thanks for stopping by, and for all your sweet comments on the blog hop!
Have a great day!
Happy birthday to your daughter. If I were smart enough to know what a golden birthday was, I'd know her age! What a super fun use of those colors, and of the tie die. (Love saying tie die.)
ReplyDeleteI spotted that PTI tie right off Marybeth...great way to use it! This is so fun and colorful. I like the big button better too. I think it pulls the colors and white card together nicely! Happiest of birthdays to your daughter!!
ReplyDeleteSuper use of the tie! and a great take on the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteMarybeth, this is adorable! I think I like it better with the button, then again I'm VERY partial to buttons - LOL! Thank you so much for playing with us at the colourQ this week!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your daughter! Oh, Marybeth, this is STUNNING!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card. Hmm. Golden birthday? I am totally curious now. I don't agree that the clever ties make the card appear top heavy. To me it is a novel balance that really works. Quite refreshing actually. Good stuff.
ReplyDeleteHi Marybeth! What a pretty card. I love all the bright colors - great for the golden birthday. I like both flower centers - I finally decided on the button too! Happy golden birthday to your sweet girl! I'm too old for these since the calendar only goes to 31 SIGH......
