Not too sure if my sentiment makes sense but I wanted to use this die
I used glossy accents on the sentiment. I sure wish I would have bought the pinecone stamp and dies.
Well, I think I am trying to make my flower look a bit pinecone…y , kinda turned out to look
like a cluster of walnuts.
And then you always have to add some pearls to a cluster of walnuts or pinecones…. lol.
I like the way the card looks but somethings are just OFF
Everything is Papertrey Ink.

Love how you used 'blessed' in this card. And, whatever you call it, your walnut/pinecone focal point is really beautiful.

ReplyDeleteYour use of Rosie Posie to make a fall cluster is so clever, Marybeth. Reminds me of the corsages the seniors would wear at the homecoming football game back when I was in high school many years ago. The bow is gorgeous and having just three loops showing gives balance to the card. I love the mix of your sentiment; it makes perfect sense to me. I think (and I'm just a simple crafter) that what is off to your eye is the placement of the sentiment. If you moved 'blessed' over and almost flush right with 'happy' tucked above the 'ssed' and 'birthday' just a little closer, the words would all flow together. They want to be snuggling! Even without those changes, this card is lovely.

Georgeous card. Love your focal point in the corner. I am sure the recipient isn't going to know you wanted pine cones (only PTI people). I think is ti striking.Definitely love that ribbon.

ReplyDeleteSo beautiful and I have to be honest, when I first saw your card I thought is was a pine cone, then I read what Joyce wrote and thought walnut, why would add a walnut to your card. It pays to read everything. I love how you used the word die too, just so clever.

ReplyDeleteWhatever you call it, I'm in love with your cluster! The colors make it work so well together, that it reads as a "pinecone" without actually being one. Kind of like those emails weher oen letetr is off btu yuo can stll read it anyay.
