Look at the detail on these boots !
The boot is fun foam and one layer of Chocolate Chip
paper for the spurs.
I am having so much fun with “ Fun Foam” Ive used it in the past but I think I only stamped on it . Now I just use the foam by itself on layered with paper on top.

Wow that is great detail in the die cuts..who knew! This is adorable Marybeth. My sister-in-law would love this sentiment. She's a HUGE John Wayne fan!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card. Those die cuts are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteHi Marybeth! I have started using fun foam underneath my word die cuts to add dimension instead of cutting several layers of cardstock and gluing them together. Also, I've started using it instead of foam tape when making shaker cards. I like your idea to cut it directly with our dies - seems like we had a MIM a couple years ago on that, but I had forgotten. LOVE your card!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for shaker cards Susan , I will have to try that!
DeleteOH my goodness....if it were a bit earlier in the day I would be headed straight to Hobby Lobby right now! What a great deal too and idea. I have seen Jennifer McGuire use it, and her cards like yours are amazing. And this one is too, love those sweet boots, so much detail and I love that sentiment too. Thank you so much for playing along with us at ColourQ, hope to see you again next week.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen fun foam used this way! It looks amazing! Love your card, Marybeth! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a fun design! Those die cuts look fantastic (love the detail) and the sentiment is wonderful!

OH!! I LOve the John Wayne quote!!!

Oh what fun this is! That foam leaves such great impressions - you can really see the detail of the die! I found some sticky-back foam at HL, and have been using is rather than pop dots, but might have to make a special trip to find some colors, and give this a whirl! This is just brilliant. Such a fun card! You're the bomb!!! Bev
ReplyDeleteGoodness, I didn't know you could get such good detail with the foam! Hooray for Hobby Lobby. I love this card with its dimension and your wonderful quote!
ReplyDeleteThat fun foam is so fantastic. Who would have thought of foam cowboy boots. So clever. This card has such great texture.
ReplyDeleteOh isn't that fun foam the greatest!! I've been having fun with it too! Your card is just adorable! The detail on the boots is amazing!!
ReplyDeleteI've never used fun foam. It does look like fun though and those are some awesome cowboy boots! Love the John Wayne quote too!
ReplyDeleteLove fun foam! And this card is awesome! Love that quote!
ReplyDeleteFantastic card Marybeth! Great use of fun foam!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fab card with the fun foam! Love all the detail and wonderful sentiment!
ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant idea Marybeth - I would never have guessed you'd used foam for the embossed boots. They look amazing! I though it was some new, secret technique you'd used lol! Fabulous card as always and I've always loved that quote! Thanks for playing along at Colour Q!
ReplyDeleteWow! I LOVE your card! I have recently discovered how great fun foam is with die cuts, but seeing how pretty the boots and horseshoe look with those details has given me a whole new inspiration to buy another pack! LOVE the entire design and the beautiful way you've used the color palette!
ReplyDeleteI'm going off to get some fun foam next, Marybeth! Thank you for showing what it looks like. I'm seeing cards made using it all over (including your Packer :( card) and I think it's fabulous for the word dies, but I had no idea what the heck it was or where to get it because I haven't had time to watch any videos. So, thank you, you saved me searching! Your cowboy dude card is adorable! The detail on the boots is phenomenal and I love that you gave them even more pizzazz by using the brown. I love the hat and horseshoe, too! Thank you so much for joining again in my NBUS Challenge #3! Enjoy your day!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteUsing fun foam with these stamps and dies was inspired - totally perfect for each other!

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! This is such an awesome card and John Wayne quote, Marybeth! I just recently started using foam sheets (found in WalMart years ago) instead of card stock for my fussy dies and just love it! I like both your and Susan's ideas as well.
ReplyDeleteWow this is such fun Marybeth and who knew fun foam could look so good?
