Watercolor and Paint Swatches

Edited to add. Always read the fine print! I just saw that we needed to use our favorite butterfly. I just went with the colors from the photo! The cut outs on the cups kinda look like butterfly wings, right? :(

Welcome to the Papertrey Ink July Blog Hop! I have two cards to share with you today,
one for fun and one for the hop.  Actually I made two for the hop, but decided not to post the first one. I love this wonderful Fancy Tea Cup Die!

This card above was made using a Memory Box Stencil for the background , I just ran some chalk with a brush over the stencil. My cups were cut out of paint store swatches ( I asked permission to take them and the guy told me to take as much a s I wanted )  that was over a year ago and I found them when I was cleaning out  stuff.

This is the card I made just for fun and I really like how it turned out!
I have been busy with grandkids taking turns spending time at our house, this week its : Emma, Delaney and Ava for a few days.

Have fun on the hop!

  21. Two fantastic cards, Marybeth! Love the teacups! That's such a great die. Can't tell you how often I intended to pick up some paint chips and then forget until I see someone use them again. Wonderful watercolored scene too--I thought I didn't really need that new set but after seeing your cards I'm second guessing that decision!
