The challenge was to use some kind of stitching or faux stitching on your card.
Welcome to the Hop!
Since this one is about stitching I thought I would share this: Repurposed; Apple iPhone Earbud container, that I turned into a needle keeper about 6 months ago. This is the second one I made, since my husband found one of his old case’s.
Do any of you put your earbuds back in it?
Before I took it apart!
From start to finish, this maybe took 15 min.
Ok, the first one came apart much easier than this one,and in one simple piece.
This case had been in my husbands hot car for a least a year, that might be why it was harder to take apart.
I grabbed one end with pliers and held down the bottom part with pointy pliers/needle-nose pliers
After it came apart I cut and rounded a thin magnetic sheet . I promise it was easy.
I thought it was a pretty good idea and it's a bit bigger than the tiny needle keepers in the store.
Ok, now the card , I added some french knots to the center of flowers.
Thank for the visit today, if I don’t get to your cards today /Good Friday, I will try Saturday.
Happy Easter !

Beautiful card, Marybeth! What a clever idea to add the french knots to the center of the flowers and what a wonderful job you did, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous upcycling project and very clever, putting the magnetic sheet in there! This is another PTI card that takes my breath away and makes my envious of all the wonderful, stamps & IP that they produce, but alas, their shipping costs are prohibitively high to the UK and add to that, tax and duty (not to mention our Royal Mail 'handling' charges), it makes each product around 3x the cost! Have a very lovely Easter weekend Marybeth! Hazel xx
