Love Both Sets of Stitches and Swirls

I am adding both of these to the challenge today.
Make a Birthday Card for PTI

 Two cards .

All the products are from Papertrey Ink, but the sequins.
I used 7 things: two stamps two papers and 3 inks and it took less than 17 Min.

I used Propose a Toast  and Stylish Sentiments: Birthday On the card above.

I loved having these color recipe otherwise I don't think I would have combined these colors. Thanks Papertrey Ink!

I so loved stamping this card below ( both of them really)

Edited to try and show the birthday is cut out of gold paper
not black.

I had so much fun with this set. At first I was not sure what to stamp first. So I went to Nichole’s blog and she explained it was easier to stamp the stitches first. I heat embossed my stitches in gold, then stamped.  You will be seeing lots of this… I tend to over do something I love. For some reason my red is not as red as it should be … must be the iphone photo.

Hope you enjoy your day and weekend.

  1. Wow, Marybeth, both of these are so beautiful as always. Love the stitches and swirls and the other one turned out much better than mine.

I wasn't too sure if I needed the solids to go with the stitches and swirls stampset, but after seeing your gorgeous card I definitely know I will, ha, ha.
Oh, my wishlist is only getting longer and longer, sigh.
Bye and have a wonderful weekend too,

  6. These are both fantastic. Love the fun bubble strips in the first card, and your second is so beautiful and elegant. Great idea to emboss in gold and then stamp. I have these sets, and they are gathering dust. Must pull them out and CASE you.

  8. These cards are amazing. (I'm still having trouble with being literal on the layouts. (Are you starting to have a feel for the upright (or is that uptight) kid I was. Don't color outside the lines!)

The pale gold embossed stitching with the colors you used for the flowers is a knock-out. The black birthday spanning the design with the few black flower centers - divine.

And the bubbles standing in for stripes; I bet lots of those start showing up in the near future. (There are those perfect sequins again.)

Hope you play along some more for PTI's 7th. You're one of my favorite designers using their sets. Thanks for making the days brighter this time of year!

  15. Both are great cards...but the stitches one is my favorite. Even though it is time consuming...I like to stitch on cards...but I have a difficult time finding patterns. This stamp would be perfect! It is now on my wish list.
