Watercolor

 Happy 4th Birthday Wplus9!

I guess this would have been a good comfort zone card for me .

I took this photo last night with just a tiny bit of light left. I use the water coloring technique shown on the link above. I love how it gives these flowers a much softer look. I think I had a bit of alcohol left in my spray bottle.  Sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh. I used Coming Up Roses with the matching die and Basic Banners

Thanks for taking a look!

  4. This is just gorgeous. Love how you used the watercolor technique to soften up those roses. Do you think these roses are easier to stamp and line up than the PTI Sweet Life Roses?

  5. So that's where you keep the alcohol. No one had even thought to look there before this post. No more, "I'm sorry dear, but I'm using my spray bottle at the moment." ;>

Your cards are so gorgeous, that the folks looking for DT members, must be knocking at your door day and night. This design is perfectly simple, but with a big impact. You always let the beauty of an image take center stage, something I sorely need to learn. And you are seriously the best user of sequins, period. When that trend first started, I couldn't imagine their not looking out of place on cards, but they are always the perfect accent on your cards.

If PTI ever needs a new design team member, my vote would be for you. (I'll loan you some of my free time, so you could keep producing on other DTs.)

Enjoy your warm weather. We've had lots of snow time to play indoors in the Boston area, so I'm catching up with my dear friends. Have a great Valentine's day.

  7. This turned out beautiful! I love the softness, too. With all these challenges I'm in the same boat...catching light for photos whenever I can. I don't know if your skies have been grey as well, but it sure makes things tricky.

  12. Gorgeous card Marybeth. So you keep your alcohol in a spray bottle in your craft room, one or two sprays between cards??? This is so sweet and I love those sequins.
