A Merry Christmas

Sparkly Holiday

Christmas Notebook

As you can see Kara sent us a wonderful kit. In this kit Kara sent the makings of a Christmas Notebook Planner from Papertrey Ink I had never seen these
and had so much fun making mine. I think I will  make some more.  My first card just fell into place and I like the way it turned out, hope you did too. The second card I
have to admit I kept ruining the supplies and ended up adding a leftover snow die
from the kit I sent out. I have a few leftover items and will make something after I see what everyone else came up with. I  will keep this short so you will have time to see what
the other girls made with the same kit.
Thank you so much for stopping by!

ColurQChallenge # 56

Do you think of apple pie this time of year? I know I do.
My husband has been having many stressful days at work.
I decided to surprise him and make him his favorite
apple pie with crumb topping. I even made my own crust!
He walked in from work and said ohhh it smells so good in here!
This is what he saw

I burnt my arm( I am fine) and dropped the pie as I was taking it out of the oven.
It didn't help that I was also on the phone.
I calmly grabed the phone took a picture and decided to share it!
Many friends offered to come over and eat it off the oven door.

When I saw these gorgeous colors I knew I had to play at colourQ . To make my Autumn Hills I placed 3 papers together, ripped them , then spread them apart a bit .  I hand cut the house and that was pretty much it.

The sentiment is meant for all of you!

Felt inlay bookmark with stamped ribbon.
I have to admit I was not too sure what to do with this one. You can click above for more info. We were to wrap it up using felt or material. I made a felt bookmark to go with a set of books for my grandson. I stamped the cotton ribbon as well. I hope I am not too far from what we were asked to make.
Happy Blog Hopping!

Waltzingmouse Stamps Sketch Challenge 116

You will want to stop by and see the beautiful cards the  mischief makers had made.

The sketch this week is designed by  Claire Brennan. I used many
Waltzingmouse stamps for this card. Listed at the end.
Not too sure I would want to see this in a candy jar, but it does say Trick or Treat!
I used my new loop de loop die from PTI, I also used the negative of that die.
I liked the way it looked. I bought some flat lace at Hobby Lobby, to use until the beautiful lace from Waltzingmouse Stamps comes back in stock.
 Thanks for taking a peek.

CAS-UAL Fridays Fall Fun

This week CAS-UAL Friday...  Create a Clean and simple project inspired by autumn. Ok, easy enough because I had made this little wreath and need to put it on a card.  I embossed Vintage Cream paper with a cuttlebug folder. The leaves were so easy I used a Cherry Lynn Designs Die Flourish Leaf Strip. I love making wreaths and boy was this one fast because it's not a door size. :) I added a few gold leaves and spritzed some with some shimmer, that I had. I think it was from Stampin Up.
Happy autumn! We are still very warm here in California.

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #115

Sorry last card for today even though I have a MIM to post.

I saw so many beautiful cards for this sketch by Jennifer Holmes. Hard to come up with one I had not seen.  I stamped PTI Rustic Cream paper with Waltzingmouse Stamps Chicken Wire, and WMS Say it Loud, the flowers are stamped with a stamp from Join Us .  After I used glossy accents it kinda took away the beautiful stamped image from Join Us, it's not showing up  in the photo.  It ended up having a bit of a Hawaiian  look to it, and I didn't even use WMS My Island .
The die cuts are Spellbinders Labels #24

Have a wonderful weekend. I hope you get to do something you enjoy!

CASology and Less Is More

I have a bit of exciting news, for me anyway. I few weeks ago I was asked to have one of my cards featured in a Papercraft Inspirations Magazine. At first I thought it was just to get me to buy something, but it turned out to be real! I did not submit anything ,the editor saw my card on my blog, and liked it!
I can’t tell you how excited and shocked I was. I got to see the page layout today, and was happy to see more friends on the same two page spread. I only knew about one.
I am so honored to be in such amazing company.
Thanks for letting me share my excitement for my first publication.

Yes, I know lots of white!  I wish you could see this card in person. I was able to make this card for two challenges , CASology and Less is More , something I don't do too often. But when I saw white and oval , I knew what I wanted to do.  I die cut the front of the card , placed a clear cardstock using foam tamp then placed the smaller Matt on top so it appears to be floating. Die cut all my Lovely Layers( name of the die) in white then embossed using clear, stamped the sentiment from Stampin Up: Well Scripted. I used more foam tape and added to the front of the card.  The card was easy but the photography was hard… smile. I hope your all having a nice week.!

Welcome to the September Waltzingmouse Blog Hop. The theme is Fall. I know this card looks very similar to my card I made last week ,  this is a new one  that is not a one layer and different colors.  I made them both last week . I really love the added color, and simplicity of the Say It Loud, sentiments .  I inked the leaf stamp in two colors of ink, and stamped once. Cant wait to see all the other cards in the blog hop!

Happy Birthday Kara

Kara

Happy Birthday Kara! I hope you are having a wonderful Birthday.  I know it must me hard to have a birthday on such a sad day in our American History.  This is still is a day to celebrate you!
I tried to keep my card CAS, like most of your cards. The Mellon Berry color came as a last min. change to brighten up the card I made for you. Hope you like it! The original inspiration for my card came from this card by Maile Belles.  Everything on my card is from Papertrey Ink. I know you love all things PTI.   Please stop by and see what the rest of your friends have made for you.

Having so much fun making these ornaments

Waltzingmouse Sentiment

I  wanted to share with you what I have been making , It's so much fun. I think these would be beautiful on gifts or just on a tree. I have no connection with SP,  just wanted to share. I went to You Tube to find out how to use these new dies and stamps.  Stamping Up Keepsake Ornament & dies.  I think you could just buy the dies and use printed paper to save time and money.  I think the stamps are very pretty though. I used my ATG tape gun to put the pieces together not glue.
I did use the hot glue gun otherwise.
I watched You Tube to find out how to make this one that I saw in the
Holiday Mini Catalog for Stampin Up. I added the tulle and a Waltzingmouse Stamp Sentiment
I bought my tulle in the wedding department of Joann Fabrics.

This one is also stamped
I added the tulle to this one after watching  it made on You Tube.
I used Papertrey Ink Vintage Cream card stock,
 and PTI Pure Poppy Ink

This one is double sided, and stamped. I know I need a different button and I will
Replace it soon. This one is ok just not a big favorite of mine.

This one could use some more tulle.

This one was made with just the dies. No stamping, if you need to save time and or money.
I will be making a few Halloween one as well.  I also bought the snowflake die.
Thanks for stoping by! These are some of  the You Tube sight I randomly went to.

Waltzingmouse Stamps Sketch Challenge 114

This weeks beautiful sketch if from Anya Schrier .  I thought this would be such an easy challenge for me, boy was I wrong. I kept changing my card up. Part of the problem was I wanted to use some of my new dies , otherwise I think I would have made this a much less busy card.  Well, once I got started I realized, my card was turning into a Jeanne: AKeptLife inspired card. I know when I saw her card how much I loved it. Obviously my is a much darker version.  It must have stuck in my mind and inspired me.  I used my  new Gracie At Halloween Waltzingmouse Stamps I heat embossed her in black. I cut the center out of one of my Cheery Lynn dies .  I kinda like how it turned, just had a very hard time photographing this one , I think it looks much better in person. I know its a bit busy. Thanks for stopping by!
