Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge

 Happy Halloween with a
Christmas card!

The beautiful sketch this week is from Jeanne: AKeptLife I knew I had to find time to play.

I needed to blur the edges of this card because I was in the photo, and I have been up since 4 am. Not ready to be in any pictures!
This was on the quick side to make. It looks white but its Vintage Cream and Red. The ribbon is also cream. I used Seasonal Remedies andCompliments of the Season both from Waltzingmouse Stamps.
The snow is from Memory Box Frostyville Border. I embossed the red with a
Cuttlebug snow folder.I dont have the die for this tag but it was easy to cut out then punch the corners with a tiny circle punch.
Thinking of all of you, on the East Coast. I cannot believe some of the destruction.
You are in my prayers

Have a Happy Halloween !

Make It Monday Floating Images

Nichole from Papertrey Ink did this weeks Make It Monday Video

My window card open. Not sure you can see but I used the gingham
stamp on the blue edge of the die cut

Our friends were expecting their third grandchild, last Friday.
They needed to drive to San Diego on a Friday, that would be at least 3 hours, any other time 2.  Their daughter was in the hospital ready to deliver. They decided to meet up with us and go out to dinner and wait out the traffic. Well, at dinner we got the call the baby was born. I felt so bad they were with us and not their daughter. ( I would have had to be with my girls) Our friends said they would rather be with friends than on the road in traffic. Makes sense to me.  It gave the new parents bonding time with the baby. It was wonderful to share in that moment with them. We were all able to give a quick prayer of thanks that all was well.

Thinking of all of you affected by the storm

Dynamic Duos #26

My prayers are with all of you on the East Coast

Hi I am back again. I could not wait to make this card. When I bougtht this stamp set from
Serendipity Stamps: Three Dresses I knew I would pretty much be paper piecing it. When I saw Dynamic Duos colors for this week  I knew I would be using this stamp again.
( Didn't post the first one yet).

This stamp has many special meanings for me . It will be a great card for me to send to one of
my many sisters. I am one of seven girls. But mostly it brings me right back to when I had my
three girls , all less than 18mo apart. I used to sew many of their little dresses.
I also liked to use a cloths line even though I had a dryer. Oh how quickly that time went by.
I was in such a rush for them to grow up and not be babies…..
boy…... do we learn the hard way, life goes by so quickly.  Now my little girls have children of their own. I am so blessed that we are all very close in heart and miles.  Ok , like I said this stamp is taking me way down memory lane.  It was so simple and easy to make. Stamp, then stamp on printed paper , hand cut , use some foam tape and done.

We had 3 of our granddaughters over for the weeked…. so much fun!
Take Care and please stay safe!

I used Vintage Cream and Fine Linen from Papertrey Ink, the other yellow is from Stampin Up
Not sure of the color, look like So Saffron.

Make It Monday

A quick card, I made last week for MIM
This weeks Make It Monday is by
Erin Lincoln

I bought this fun set so late last year, that I thought I better get some use out of it.

Hi , I made this card last week and have just a min. to post.  This was made with Papertrey Ink : In The Meadow Stamps and Dies. Most of the paper is from PTI, all but the pink background paper.
I hope you can see in the photo that I used the negative die cut  in the hills for the tree and snowman.   Hope to be back later with another card.
Take care!

I paper pieced the home and farm, adhered a bit of foam tape, glittered the trees a tiny bit and used pearls on the snowman. I also used the linen impression plate from PTI. The gingham and ribbon are from a craft store.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge

First I would like to say a big thank you for choosing my card last week for the blog hop
and the sketch challenge. I was extremely grateful and  beyond happy!!!!!!
Thank you!
I think the postman gave my stamps to someone else then back to me.
This week I sorta used the main image as my band going across, then as the main round image
in the center of the card.  If that made any sense to you. I stamped the gorgeous Cauliflower from Waltzingmouse Stamps: Vintage Garden-Produce four times then cut it out , stamped one more cauliflower , used foam tape on the top and large bottom image. I used a brush to brush on a bit of glue then
Martha Stewart glitter. All of the paper is from Papertrey Ink. The sentiment is from
 Join Us ,Waltzingmouse Stamps.
There are a few things I would do differently when I use this stamp again, but
I like the way it turned out!

Blessings to all of you!

This beautiful sketch is designed by
the very talented Clare Buswell

Winter Homestead

I paper pieced the holly leaves
and added some Glossy Accents

I just love these winter scene stamps from Serendipity that I received in the mail. This has to be my all time favorite Merry Christmas Sentiment. Both stamps are from Serendipity Stamps. Merry Christmas and Winter Homestead All the card stock if from Papertrey Ink and the Die cut hill are also from Papertrey Ink , In the Meadow Hills. Ribbon is from craft store.
I hope you have a great week .
Tank you!

Winter Walk Serendipity Stamps

This photo captured the way the snow looks, I had to take it
on the diving board out by the pool

I received some of the most beautiful Christmas stamps in the mail the other day.
The stamped scene is Winter Walk from Serendipity stamps.
It reminds me of my great grandparents farm in Wisconsin , from many years ago.
I added Glossy Accents in just a few spots that I thought the snow would sparkle, then sprinkled with Martha Stewart glitter.  It shows up in the first photo, not much in the second.
The sentiment Merry Christmas is also from Serendipity Stamps. I think it is just so
elegant with that sprig of holly. I heat embossed that.
If you only knew how many photos I took!

Thanks for stopping by. The birthday party went well and I made sure I got to hold, hug, squeeze and kiss all eleven of my wonderful grandchildren. Im really not as old as you might think! I started out very young. Smile!

CASual Fridays and ColourQ #159

Hello ! Thank you all so very much for your kind comments on
the last few cards I have made. It sure means a lot to me.
Last week I made a bunch of these treat boxes up for my grandson.
His birthday was on the 19th but everyone is coming over to our house today.
I still need to fill them .

CASual  Friday challenge is to hang over the edge.

I used Papertrey Ink - Essential Pillow Box Die  and the ghost die. I cut the ghost then taped some of
PTI’s clear paper , added PTI tiny tags stamped the boo , tied a bow and done. It needed to be simple so I could make many. I also made some for my grandson to take his Halloween treats to school.
The Stamp is from Papertrey Ink: Halloween Treats & Sweets
Look like everything is PTI this time. Need to run.  I am so blessed today because
We will be having a house full of Grandchildren and family
Thanks for stopping by
I hope you have a blessed day.

I was looking up how to make some Halloween barrettes and someone made ,
a ghost out of ribbon, barrette.
So I used paper, made this card with Stitched Sentiment Flag Die  the very top flag was
die cut with washi tape.
All the paper is from Papertrey Ink and so is the sentiment.

The card below , most flags were cut with washi tape from Target.
I love the look , just not crazy about my design.
Thought I would share it anyway!

I hope you enjoy your day!
We will have a warm one it should get to 95

Make It Monday / CASology

Poinsettia made with Frilly Flowers leaves!

I see all the beautiful dies out there for poinsettias and I always tell myself,
I don't need it , just want it.
I was thinking maybe I could use my Frilly Flowers Stamp Set … And I did!
I only used the leaves. I like the way it turned out! What do you think? I stamped the leaves with F.F. then the very top layer is stamped with Lovely Layers.

I decided to inter this in CASology , Its made with leaves.
Hope it's ok to enter twice!

And since this is for MIM here is the inside of my card. I always line my cards with thin linen paper so it will be removed easialy , I have been told, some like to reuse my cards. Works for me!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Make It Monday,CASology

I added a bit of shimmer tulle behind this
but the shimmer doesn't show in the photo.

The challenge was to carry the stamping and decorating to the inside of your card

I only had to take a million photos to get this one,
and it's not even that great! UGGGG!
I love the delicate font of this sentient.

CASology theme is leaves. I have already made many fall card with leaves . After I received a beautiful gift in the mail , I knew I would be using holly leaves.

Yesterday I went out late to get my mail. I had a wonderful surprise waiting for me.
My friend Cathy: EmptyNestCrafter sent me this gorgeous die from Serendipity Stamps
She noticed I have been using them a lot lately.   I was so excited, it's a gorgeous delicate die.  I have been the recipient of many gifts from kind friends. I feel so blessed.
Thank you Cathy !

I always line the inside of my cards with a thin linen paper. Most people I send cards to like to save them. Some have told me they resend them. I only put a bit of tape on the back so the inside layer  can easily be removed.
