Summer Fun

Hello, dose anyone know where June went!  Welcome to the 12 Kits of Occasions, our host for the month of June is Birgit . As you can see in the photo above ( taken by Lindsey) what a beautiful and bright kit it was.

All I did was assemble the card above and stamped "thank you". I also made a envelope liner with some of the extra paper.

Thanks for taking a peek and stoping by today.
Don't forget to stop by the The 12 Kits of Occasions Blog to see what all the other designers have created with their kits.

Happy July!

Lemons and Blossoms

CAS(E) this Sketch #327
Hi there! My new stamps and dies came from The Greetery this afternoon. Super fast delivery. I couldn't  wait to dig in but I was in speed mode ( I would rather take my time)
I had already cleaned my craft room as I had finished a few projects earlier in the day. Betsy makes her designs work so well with the layers in each stamp.

I made this for The Sketch challenge and last minute turned the design around. The branch of leaves is my rectangle of the sketch.

Have to run but thanks so much for the visit.
Hug and blessings to you all.

I added bits of shimmer pin from Simon Says Stamp and Distressed Oxide inks along with many others from my collection .

Forty -Third Anniversary Card

Simon Says: Wedding/Anniversary
Hello kind friends!  I was so afraid of using this set but knew I wanted to, for our 43 wedding anniversary  ( mostly why I bought it).
I think I was afraid I couldn't do as well as Betsy, ( and I cant) but I decided that is ok.

I totally used Betsy's card for my inspiration and I also used her ideas. Like embossing the walkway with the stencil, when you run your hand over it you can feel each rock. I used sponge daubers with oxide inks on the walk way. I used my zig pens to color the people and a bit of the grass . The grass seemed too harsh so I ran a lightly inked dauber to soften it up.

The sky is also done very quickly with a lightly inked dauber.

I cant wait to use this set from The Greetery  again. ( no fear just fun) I wanted to add the dogs but didn't have much time to create this card. I was amazed how easy this was to make .

I am very blessed to be married to my best friend! He is a wonderful husband, great father and papa ! Not to mention one of the hardest working guys I know and love.  He can make me laugh till I can't breathe. We have received many graces making it through the tough times.

 God Bless You All

Card for a Record Collector

Mix It Up Challenge #56 ~ Fresh Inspiration

Hello! Hope you are enjoying the month of June because its halfway gone.... going way too fast for me.

I added a bit of fun foam under the black record and under the arm of the needle . This is stamped on watercolor cardstock and Papertrey Ink black cardstock. I lined the envelope with the bars and die cut it with Plus9 envelope liner.

I bought this set from Sugar Pea Design with my son in mind,  he loves collecting records and has been doing this since high school .
I don't get to see him as much as I like, so I thought I would just make him a card to let him know I'm thinking of him.

Hope you have a great week my friends.

Fleur Impressions

CAS(E) this Sketch #324
Hello. I made this card yesterday wanting to play some more with this new stamp set from

I stamped it all using Distressed Oxide Inks and used a dauber .
I also added a bit of shimmer but its not showing up in the photo.
The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink

I scored the front panel just a bit to add to the lines of the sketch and flipped the side of the
design opposite of the sketch .

It's alway fun to pick homegrown lettuce and spinach from
 our own backyard.
The drinks are lemon drop martinis (my husband made)
using the lemons from the backyard too!

Thank you for the visit, hope you are having a wonderful week.
We're going to warm up a bit today, we've  been enjoying much cooler temperatures this year. Its always nice since it get pretty warm here.
We are making progress on the flooring, baseboards, painting, demo, etc. We are trying to do less more often , not lots in one day. (Our body thanks us:) Funny how our mind says yes you can do it and our body lets us know : No You Can't!!!
Take care
