Be Still & Know Slimline Card and Rope Baskets

Hello and happy weekend to you ! Thank you all so much for the kind words on the passing of my father.

I took out some of my Greetery stamps and dies, along with my Simon Says Stamp Slim Line Envelope die.

I used Botani Cuts die and added some larger leaves from Lovely Blossoms.

I posted this on My Instagram
I wanted to make something for each of the siblings ( I am one of 9) I asked for shirts of my father’s, thinking for a quilt. I wanted to try making rope baskets and then got the idea I could cut strips of my dads shirts and wrap them around the rope and make one for each sibling. Well I completed them in time . Just a little something of my dad for each to have .  I made these using my Bernina sewing machine zigzagging round and round I wrapped the shirt piece around the rope as I was sewing.

Thank you for the visit and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Paper Blooms

Hello and happy Sunday to you. Hope you are all doing well and get to enjoy some family time making wonderful memories.

We've been blessed with lots of family time, laughter, mostly happy tears and sometimes sad tears. We all need each other and I feel so blessed to have such a large family and wonderful friends .
I pray that you all have the same.
All that family time takes away from crafting and quilting but I wouldn't trade any of it for less time with family.

I did get to enjoy some time in the craft room early in the morning and a chance to play with these dies and stamps from the Greetery.
I cut the blooms in white, then used blending brushing and distressed oxide inks to color the the blooms.

Hope you all have a good week ahead filled with lots of blessing.

Lovely Blossoms Birthday Card

Hello and Happy Monday to you all. This Monday I started my day in the craft room before all my chores. I couldn't wait to play with some of my happy mail from: The Greetery.

was so much fun to play with and easy to stamp. I used a stamp I already had Harvest Home Stamp Set  Kinda of in place of the beautiful heart from the release.

I found that while stamping the whole image a few of the smaller ones could be stamped in the same place , without moving the stamp.
Not sure if that makes sense to you, but it sure saved a bit of time for me

I was able to tuck the blooms inside the lower leaf panel as I used a bit of foam tape.

Thank you for the visit today. Peace be with you all.
God bless.

Craft Room Time

Hello , hope you are all hanging in there .
I finally had some time to make a card.
(I made few cards for future post)

I used the beautiful BotaniCuts Toadstool Garden Die and Comforting Commands Stamp Set both from The Greetery.

I will be honest, this card was remade many times and almost ended up in the trash. I think I  finally saved it with less mistakes.

The glitter docent show up much in this photo but I love it in real life.

Take care and thank you !

Watercolored Fall Birthday Card

Hi Friends . We are doing lots of praying here in California. So many fires all over and burning some of the most beautiful mountains, trees. town and homes. God bless all our firefighters, first responder and many that lost so much.

I couldn't wait to use the new products from The Greetery , the sentiment is a favorite of mine and the leaves are new, all linked below. I water colored the leaves .

I hope you are safe where you are. Our Skys have been  brown/orange for so many days now. Today is the first day of blue skies(winds), grateful for that.

We took the picture with mask on to remember 2020

I posted on my  Instagram  a few days ago. We were blessed to be in Yosemite for a few days to greet our son who just finished  solo walking the John Muir Trail ( over 240 miles) He ended with summit of Mount Whitley. So grateful he finished before the next big fire that started as we left. All so very heartbreaking.

Keeping Christmas

Hello! It's the 25th of the month and that means it's time for the Keeping Christmas Blog Hop. We're  trying to make cards each month so when Christmas comes around we won't have a mad rush to make so many cards at once. I LOVE making Christmas cards all year round.

I made three cards each one a little different, I used chunky glitter, the red ink is from Concord & 9th new ink:Cranberry Ink Pad

I love the way this rubber background

For Christmas, I  couldn't wait to see the watering  can in red, I am sure black would  be beautiful too!

The fires are bad here in California , most of them are to the north of us. Our SIL has been fighting them for over a week now. It's also been crazy hot . Don't know how they can work in this heat.

Praying for all of those affected by the fires.

Thanks for the visit today!

Embellished Patterned Paper

Hello, I hope you are all hanging in there and hope you each have a joyful day.

I wanted to make a simple and fast card before I switched to quilting the top of my quilt.
After seeing Betsy's( from The Greetery) beautiful new peach set I wanted to create something with the set I have from Papertrey Ink . Pretty sure it's a Betsy design .

I used the patterned paper image fussy cut it down then lightly shaded it with Copic Markers and added some extra white dots and bit of outlines then some Glossy Accents.
I added the Simple Things sentiment trying to cover up what was printed. So not my own design just embossed and cut and added new striped background  .... fun and fast!

God Bless

Keeping Christmas

Hello, I hope you are having a happy day!

I was so busy last month, the time to post just slipped my mind.
I made up for it with seven Christmas cards ready to mail!
This Christmas group is a group of card designers trying to get ahead of making Christmas cards before we get too busy with all the Holiday preparations.
Hopefully we can inspire you to get ahead as well, trust me it feels nice!

I used the Bountiful Wreath stamp and die set from The Greetery!
Its more of a fall stamp set but I think stamped with different shades of green and red it works pretty well. The sentiment is from Poppystamps
The inks I used are all pictured above. I tried many red and I always end up going back to Papertrey Ink Pure Poppy. I also added Glossy Accents to each berry.

Please hop along and be inspired!

Birthday Blooms and a Quilt Top

CAS(E) this Sketch #376

Hello,  hope you are doing well.
I have been quilting lately as I have a brand new sewing machine! Trying to learn my new machine has taken a lot of time, as classes cannot start until next week. ( 🦠 )
This beautiful stamp came last week and I couldn't wait to use it, so I got up early this morning and made this simple card. I guess I chose orange ( usually go pink) because I wanted it to look like a California poppy ( state flower)

Just a peek at the quilt top. I made a few mistakes
but I have learned from them so they stayed in the quilt.

Take care sweet friends !
God Bless
