Happy Halloween with a Christmas Card

Happy Halloween with a Christmas card ;)
I wanted to get this card in this morning but I had to many interruptions.  The sentiment stamp is one of my favorite “ Merry Christmas”stamps from, Stampabilities.  I stamped the tall gift with Tapestry Pattern from Stampabilities  The fun little gifts are from WPlus9 : Birthday Basics. Background dies are Mama Elephant. Lot of products fro a simple card.

I copied this picture from Instagram of Richard and Nicola.

My son just informed me he is leaving for Doha Qatar again, tonight. I told him after his last trip.... to tell his boss that I said he can’t go anymore!!!! That didn’t work. I am sure he will be safe but I will be praying until he comes home.

I took this picture of the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland this week when I went with my DH, just the two of us.

Pumpkins and Fall

Welcome to the October 12 Kits of Occasions.
Our hostess this month is Jessica.  Jessica sent bright colors and fun whimsical images, as you can see from the beautiful photo, ( taken by Tracey).  I had a free day about 3 weeks ago and made all 4 cards that day. I have to say I really enjoyed myself. Thank you Jessica.

Don’t forget the complete supply list is listed on the 12 kits blog on the upper tab.

The ink ran just a bit when I added the Glossy Accents( my favorite thing to do)

I added the football, pie and leaves cut out of paper from the kit, using some old dies I had.

I would call mine: Clean and Layered

The leaves for this card were cut out using Lawn fawn dies from a few years ago. I added just a tiny bit of Glossy Accents to the cotton twine and wrapped it around a plastic straw, it came right off and kept its shape. I also added GA to the pumpkin for depth.

Ok , lot more to see from the other talented designers, that I am blessed to call my friends.

A Few Simple Layers

Laurie’s Make It Monday video is CAS today. Yay!

Hi, great weekend here and I hope you had one too.

We had 3 granddaughters spend the weekend with us and it was so much fun! All they want: is to spend time in the craft room. We made a ghost banner with glow in the dark glitter and they each made a Tinsel and Tag ornament . All I did was guide them and they did it all by themselves. I told them someday when they are grown up and have their own tree , maybe they will remember how much fun we had making them. I wish I could have recorded the 4 yr old... oh my gosh she had me in tears of laughter ( I think she is 14 in a 4 yr. old body)

I loved Laurie’s simple idea of scoring the card stock . As you can see this was layers lightly, with Papertrey Ink dies.

God Bless!

Glow In The Dark Ghost

Keeping Canada in my prayers today!

Hello, hope you are off to a great start for you day.

I woke up early this morning and made this card. With many attempts to make a small banner, I decided I wanted CAS so I chose this large banner, from stitched party banners from Lawn Fawn.  I added Glossy Accents, last minute I decide to add some glow in the dark glitter from Martha Stewart ( a jar I had from last year) The image is from Serendipity Stamps   Honeydew stripe twine from the Twinery.

Thanks for taking the time to comment and stop by.

I Gave It A Try / Edited To Add A Snow Globe

I am editing this post to add a snow globe I made for my three year old grandson , who: is in love with trains..... As most three year olds can be.
I used my MakeIt Market Kit: Tinsel & Tags that can be used in so many ways. I bought the train at Michael's crest store, I couldn’t get the last part of the train to fit this time , I will in the next one. I gules it on an old cable lid. I don’t recommend using Glossy Accents for these because if you get any on the globe it won’t come off.  Can you see my frosted window.... I placed tape on the inside and added fine glitter . I am having so much fun with this kit!

I did the back side as well , since it’s a snow globe. Sorry about the glare. I see I added one tree turned the wrong way...see on the right.

by Betsy.

As you can see I added too much glitter and it covered up some of my scene.

Hello, looks like I have not posted in a few days. I’ve made a few cards for some future DT post. Other than that I have been busy with family and friends and enjoying life. I have missed visiting many of your blogs, I am going to make time for that today. I hope you are all well.

I made this card yesterday morning before heading out to one of my sisters for the day. We had so much fun, lunch, talking and cards... We both have large families so it was kinda nice with just the two of us.

I used Autumn Hills Stamp Set for this card, and the top cross stitched layer is from my friend Joyce
( I have had this forever) I also used a few dies from Tinsel and Tags

Not crazy about how my card turned out , but I needed to post something :)

 Have a  great day!

WMS PJ Party

I used Glossy Accents and a snow pen for my texture, the bat ghost is three layers.

Sorry my pictures are so dark.

1. Texturise it -  use something OTHER THAN embossing folders

2. Snow is falling - Make a project featuring snow

Hello, in a hurry to get these posted son didn’t have time to get great photos. Time got away from me this week. I have brand new Christmas sets from WMS and I totally forgot to use them. My brain is on overload with lots of things going on.

God Bless!

Inside

I made THIS card HERE  for a challenge and I really liked the colors :
black , white and orange, so I decide to do that again.

I used my new black embossing powder. I added Glossy Accents to the windows, door,
some of the ground and the moon. I love the extra texture GA gives a card.

Cant wait to see what the rest of the design team created. I know its going to be good!

A Few Projects

 Great MIM Video by :Danielle

Hello!
When I saw this I was, I have to admit I was a bit disappointed, because I made a card using this very same technique. It won’t post until November, and I thought I was so smart :)It is, a fun way to add just a bit of shine.

I’ve made a few of these already, but just sharing this one today. I decided to make a black nighttime
sky and I love the dark contrast  with the snow.  Sorry about the glare.

I used my new MakeIt Market Kit: Tinsel & Tags stamps and dies . Lots of layers and then added Glossy Accents.
( waited for it to dry)I only dipped the tiny pinecones, I would recommend dipping edges of something a bit larger.

Thanks for stopping by.
