Laurie’s Make It Monday video is CAS today. Yay!
Hi, great weekend here and I hope you had one too.
We had 3 granddaughters spend the weekend with us and it was so much fun! All they want: is to spend time in the craft room. We made a ghost banner with glow in the dark glitter and they each made a Tinsel and Tag ornament . All I did was guide them and they did it all by themselves. I told them someday when they are grown up and have their own tree , maybe they will remember how much fun we had making them. I wish I could have recorded the 4 yr old... oh my gosh she had me in tears of laughter ( I think she is 14 in a 4 yr. old body)
I loved Laurie’s simple idea of scoring the card stock . As you can see this was layers lightly, with Papertrey Ink dies.
God Bless!
I think your card is FAB! Wow, just plain gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove your dies combo. All the diecuts suit so perfectly together, with just a splash of color.
Great effect, great CAS card!
You're sooooo very lucky to have so many sweet grandchildren!
Bye,
Marjolein
Beautiful card Marybeth. I had my 3 granddaughters also this weekend. Two are not too interested in making cards. The youngest one is into it, but she has been trying to finish one card for the last 3 weekends
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful time with your little ones Marybeth, I cant wait! LOVE your card, I hope to try this technique this week!!
ReplyDeleteThis is the loveliest lightly layered card I've seen! Perfect for the challenge.
ReplyDeleteHave had many happy times with the granddaughters in my craft room. Happy memories for all especially grandma! I love that you share your family with us.
Love the look that the diagonal scoring adds to your card. Simply beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI definitely have to check out the MIM video - this is gorgeous Marybeth! Love the contrast between the circle elements and the diagonal lines.
ReplyDeletePerfect! Just the right amount of stamping Marybeth...
ReplyDeleteLove your card and your weekend sounds delightful. I've been trying to catch up...I have missed so many fabulous creations that you've made recently. And I'm not sure I even knew you were on the Poppy Stamps design team...how did I miss that? Or maybe my brain just can't think clearly enough right now to remember...both are very plausible. :) Funny you should say that about your 4 y.o. granddaughter...my sister is convinced that her 4 y.o. is giving her glimpses of her teenage years as well.
ReplyDeleteLove the clean, layered style of your card. It sounds like such a fun weekend with your little ones. May you continue to be so blessed!
ReplyDeleteWonderful... the card, and the memories you've made =]
ReplyDeleteVery, very elegant. Fall lite...I love it!
ReplyDeleteA perfect "Marybeth" creation!!
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous, Marybeth. That die cut looks wonderful with just a bit of stamping, and I am so glad you got a chance to create with your granddaughters this weekend.

ReplyDeleteI love this card,Marybeth! The delicate layers of such a gentle colour palette creates amazing unity. Those layers wouldn't work in a bright, varied palette. Brilliant!! And how much fun to share your love and creativity with your granddaughters! I have a 15 month old grandson who probably won't be into crafting but I can relate to the joy of spending time with grandkids. TFS! :)
ReplyDeleteMarybeth I can only imagine how much you must have enjoyed your granddaughters this weekend. Your card is stunning, you take the most amazing photos, that is my work is progress.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had lots of fun with your granddaughters...how sweet! Your card is so pretty with the layering and gold sentiment!:-)

ReplyDeleteWith all the fancy dies and embossing folders it's easy to forget how simple scoring can make such a big impact! A lovely card, Marybeth! Sounds like fun times with your granddaughters. I'm sure they will remember such happy times.
