A Few Simple Layers

Laurie’s Make It Monday video is CAS today. Yay!

Hi, great weekend here and I hope you had one too.

We had 3 granddaughters spend the weekend with us and it was so much fun! All they want: is to spend time in the craft room. We made a ghost banner with glow in the dark glitter and they each made a Tinsel and Tag ornament . All I did was guide them and they did it all by themselves. I told them someday when they are grown up and have their own tree , maybe they will remember how much fun we had making them. I wish I could have recorded the 4 yr old... oh my gosh she had me in tears of laughter ( I think she is 14 in a 4 yr. old body)

I loved Laurie’s simple idea of scoring the card stock . As you can see this was layers lightly, with Papertrey Ink dies.

God Bless!

Card stock : Fine Linen

Love your dies combo. All the diecuts suit so perfectly together, with just a splash of color.
    Great effect, great CAS card!
You're sooooo very lucky to have so many sweet grandchildren!

  2. Beautiful card Marybeth. I had my 3 granddaughters also this weekend. Two are not too interested in making cards. The youngest one is into it, but she has been trying to finish one card for the last 3 weekends

  8. Love your card and your weekend sounds delightful. I've been trying to catch up...I have missed so many fabulous creations that you've made recently. And I'm not sure I even knew you were on the Poppy Stamps design team...how did I miss that? Or maybe my brain just can't think clearly enough right now to remember...both are very plausible. :) Funny you should say that about your 4 y.o. granddaughter...my sister is convinced that her 4 y.o. is giving her glimpses of her teenage years as well.

  15. I love this card,Marybeth! The delicate layers of such a gentle colour palette creates amazing unity. Those layers wouldn't work in a bright, varied palette. Brilliant!! And how much fun to share your love and creativity with your granddaughters! I have a 15 month old grandson who probably won't be into crafting but I can relate to the joy of spending time with grandkids. TFS! :)
