Birthday Cards

Hello, and welcome to our monthly post of The 12 Kits of Occasions Occasions.  I hope that you've all been staying healthy.

Tracey McNeely is our host for the month of  January. As you can see in the photo above the kit was filled with lots of bright and happy.

I have always been a big fan (and love ) Tracy's absolutely beautiful clean and simple designs, anything that sweet girl creates.

I have been making slimline cards ever since I got my new SL envelope die from Simon Says Stamp. I used my older memory box die for the circles called:Pinpoint Circle Frame, perfect for SL.

I love the simplicity of the card above with added texture, the watercolor paper from Hobby Lobby.

On this last card, before I took the cut die out of the paper I used Simon Hurley Stamping Foam (so much fun) to create the texture. All you do is heat the foam and press it on anything...... I pressed it on the cutter I have then inked it up and stamped over the die cut letters. Big Birthday from MFT

We are sorta rethinking the 12 Kits as of now, I will keep you posted as we have all been so busy. Please visit the blog to see all the designers and guest, also for the complete list of supplies.

Blessing to you all.

  3. Good morning my friend! I just love everything you did with my kit right from that fabulous cupcake slimline card. I held off on the SSS envelope did but I'm rethinking it now! I just love how you left the images uncoloured, it actually really makes the images pop! Great choice of papers and now I need to investigate the Simon Hurley foam! That you for making my kit look so good! It is always so fun to see what everyone does with their kit!

  4. These are all fantastic, Marybeth. I especially love that last card. I saw a tutorial on this technique by Jennifer McGuire, and now am eagerly waiting for that foam to be restocked. Love how you added color and pattern to those words.

  5. Oh my good golly, Marybeth, I just learned a boatful from this post! Hobby Lobby sells that wonderful watercolor paper you use all the time, which I love! Such a beautiful texture! The slimline cards you've been making have been fabulous, and now I know where to get an envelope maker for them (haven't make one yet). Your BIG birthday wishes card is my favorite! Gorgeous plaid you created, and thank you for sharing it's process. Your cards always have a sweet elegance to them, and you created 4 party happenin' cards! Hugs!

  7. Hello Marybeth! WOW! A fabulous array of cards that really make Tracey's kit shine! I especially love that you've shown us how wonderful 'not coloured' images can be, especially when paired with delightful patterned papers! So thrilled to be designing with you and the rest of the team this month!
