One Layer Card
I just now saw the “Thanks”
Looks like I missed the boat with this one.
Maybe it says thanks on the inside :) I only read one layer…uggg
Perfect for this challenge though!
I dont make one layer cards ver often. For this one I used Clyde From Serendipity Stamps and heat embossed him with some very old gold embossing powder I had from way back when. I only colored a tiny bit. I have seen this stamp colored and its gorgeous! My sentiment stamp is from Papertrey Ink Think Big Favorites #20
I used the largest stitched mat from Lil Inkers Design. Paper from Papertrey Ink Vintage Cream.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your week!
This is such an elegant card...love all the gold but what really jumped out at me what how you made that red bow. Honestly, I see rolls and rolls of ribbon at Michaels that looks just like that red with gold trim. Love this one Marybeth!
ReplyDeleteWow Marybeth this is very elegant! I love your embossing.
ReplyDeleteMarybeth your card is so elegant! I love the gold with the red..stunning!
ReplyDeleteWow! That gold embossing just makes this look so rich and expensive Marybeth. Love the stitched mat and the little bit of red too!
ReplyDeleteSometimes people don't see the one layer bit, sometimes they don't see the theme of the card...never mind, maybe next time you'll get the lot!
ReplyDeleteIt's a nice card though!
Thanks so much
Chrissie
Less is More
Marybeth this is gorgeous!! Clyde looks quite dapper decked out in gold with his red bow. I can just hear those hooves going clippity clop and the jingle bells ringing!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this unique & beautiful card--wow!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I love that you only colored the red.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a one layer card girl either, but this is lovely!! What a pretty image and it looks so wonderful embossed in the gold!
ReplyDeleteGoodness, I missed this post too, can't believe I did!!!
ReplyDeleteSimplicity at its best!
Your card doesn't 'need' anything else.
Love the red bow and sentiment!
I'm pleased to hear that it's cooled down a bit!
Bye,
Marjolein
ps. I'm eagerly waiting for some snow to fall or some freeze cold, ha,ha, I love wintertime!
I cannot believe how far behind I have gotten. Anyway, this horse is such a stunning image, and doesn't need much! I have seen you use that TB #20 sentiment so often, I threw it into my cart last week, and am eagerly awaiting it.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on this elegant card Marybeth.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful simple and clean card, Marybeth! I guess I missed this originally, but I just saw it over on CAS on Sunday as the WINNER and had to come and say congratulations!! Hugs, Darnell
