April 12 Kits of Christmas

 

April is my month to host the 12 Kits of Christmas. I am blessed to be in 

this group of very talented women of card makers. Each  month one of the 12 

will send out the same kit to all the women in the group, and then 

 we all make Christmas card. It's so fun to see what we  each comes up with. So many

different ideas. The reason for the club is so we will have some cards made ahead of time.

 Hi, this is a card I made for Waltzingmouse Sketch challenge by Karin Karin Åkesdotter

 I used French Country, Join Us by Waltzingmouse Stamps on the background of my papers.

For the top of the card I used Papertrey Ink Bloom Builders as my banner . I left it as is, because I thought it gave it a bit of a lace feel. I even snuck in one Frilly Flower die. Then I used Mat Stack 

 the sentiment :Woman of Life.

Hi and happy Friday! I just wanted to make a card for my son Richard, and congratulate him on getting a(Job) internship, at a very big company in Irvine Ca .  He has a few more classed to take next year before he graduates. Richard’s college major is engineering and physics . With the job market so poor in Ca, we were very happy he got hired so fast. They told him he could start now or full time in the summer. He has way too much homework now . Mom bragging... he is such a great guy!  Have a wonderful weekend , and thanks for stopping by.

Make It Monday Glitter Dies

Hi! I have a card for Make It Monday.  The video from Heather showed us how to make glitter die 

using a Xyron. I didn't have one so I used score tape then ran it through my die cut machine. It worked well enough , although I am sure the Xyron would be much faster. My daughter called me and asked if I could make a" thank you card "for a teacher’s aide, a bit fancy but think it will be fine.

Busy week for us , we had wonderful weather maybe a bit warm , but now back to some 

cooler temperatures , drizzle and rain. 

 Well, I finally ordered some more Waltzingmouse Stamps. Boy did they come fast, I ordered late Monday afternoon and I received them by Saturday and they came all the way from Ireland!

I have had my eye on the Earth Angel for a long time. I thought I would just keep her simple and only added some pearls and crystals. I decided the colors for this card based on the ribbon that came on my purchase from Chico’s ( clothing store) it's a very bright pink . I love this sketch by Karin, as it was another easy one for me. Thank you for stoping by.

 Ugg this card took forever, I made it last night and the balance was just off.  I kept redoing it then kept going back to this origainal. So I stamped a new sentiment at the top (should have put it there in the first place) and Shhh, covered up the one at the bottom, with the bow.  I do like my birds… Little Bitty Birds and Fancy Flourish both from Papertrey Ink. As you can see I  inked the bird without the tail and added the Fancy Flourish for tail.  Now they are Fancy birds!  Suzanne: thecardyard card reminded me about outline shading . I learned in person from Judith : of Stamps by Judith , but I forgot and added it last min so it did not flow like it should . I will remember next time.

 Hi I will keep this short.  I love the stamps from Waltzingmouse. I just placed my second order on Monday! I cannot wait , but for now I will have to use the only two set I have: Rescue Remedies and Chicken Wire… that I happen to love!  I hope it will count using only these two stamps. Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenges

Hi! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. We had a nice rain storm on Friday, loved it. Today, I helped my husband a bit, with a gas fire pit  that is almost compleated. I found some time to do the Waltzingmouse S. C. I wanted to get this in before Mass and dinner after at our friends house. When we go to Mass I pray for the strength NOT to talk politics because my friend Carol is the only one on the opposing  side of the rest of us. I think its great to have friends that think very differently than I do. It would get kinda boring if we all thought the same. Its good to know I am on the correct side ! Just kidding! (kinda) big smile!

I  wanted to do the sketch form last week I loved it but could not find the time.

Hi!  I know I use these flowers a lot from PTI , but the person getting this card loves these flowers.

Its very similar to this  card I made before , but now with different colors for this CR84FN Color Challenge.  I hope your all enjoying your day .

 I love this cow stamp but don't get to use him often, I thought it went well with this sentiment, 

from PTI: Heart to Heart mini.  At first I was not sure about the colors but I kinda like them, they 

are bright and happy.  We are having a gorgeous day again but rain is on the way.

 Hi! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! We had a beautiful day here in California. 
I apologize I have not commented on many blogs or even had a chance to peek. I was so busy getting ready for Easter and helping my husband on a project that I just did not have time.  I plan on visiting as many blogs as I can today, cant wait to see what everyone has been up to. 
I wanted to make  a card before any more clean up . So I made this flower  with only leaf dies from
FF most of the paper is PTI or SP.  It's a simple card but I loved the layout that Lynn came up with so thought I would play along in the Retro Sketches also. Seems to be one I use a lot.

 Hi ! Hope everyone is doing well. We spent the weekend in San Diego at a 

Crew Regatta Rowing Event. We had so much fun , my sister Marylou and family came down from Seattle Washington , to watch their son in the event. One of my daughters and her family, sister Markay and family also were there. We just hung out and later went to hotel to play cards and games. It was so nice to see them. We always have a blast even though I am 9 years older than theses sisters.

I am having Easter at my house so I haven't had much time to craft. I saw this one layer challenge at WMS and just had to play, should be quick…..Right! I really wanted to add some layers but restrained my self :)  Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful week and Easter, if you celebrate it!
