Hello friends!
This month the theme for the Serendipity Stamps
challenge will be stripes. Very simple!
If any of you watched the ball drop on tv in NYTS (New Years Eve) Im sure you heard them play this song by Louis Armstrong. I knew I wanted to use my; And I Think To Myself stamp. This is heat embossed and I also stamped the flower corner around it but most of it got covered up.
As you can see, I went with very subtle stripes on my project so that I could use the new paper pad from Martha Steward Valentine “Mat Pad” (Michael’s craft store) I don’t buy patterned paper much anymore but this one was too cute.
Cant wait to see what you make, you could win a $20

Beautiful card Marybeth, love the layout and of course the sentiment. I have purchased and need to use it. It has always been one of my favourite somgs and is beautiful when signed by the Deaf choir.
ReplyDeleteYour card is adorable! I just love that song from Louie Armstrong. Only he can sing it! The design paper you used is so cute!! I can see why you bought it. Overall, your card is as darling as ever!!
ReplyDeleteLovely card. I'm like you since I don't buy a lot of pattern paper. I have too much already and use it very little due to my lack of knowledge on how to use pattern paper.
ReplyDeleteI may have to clear the decks and just go for this challenge, Marybeth... each time you use that sentiment, I want it more... each time I hear the song it moves me to tears! Did you know that I met Louis Armstrong when I was a little girl?
ReplyDeleteYour card is fantastic ... love those birds on the wire! xx
