This is the challenge from PTI
The challenge is to pick your favorite project from 2011 and share it with everyone. To take it a step further, you are challenged to create a second card that is inspired by the favorite project you select. Your new version of an old favorite could carry over the color scheme, the layout or the stamp sets.
I always liked this one and make many for teams.
Some cards are just better the first time!
Normally I only color in the sport the card is being used for.
This is ok but I would not say better. I didn't want to change it
up too much. All those who frequent my blog are
probably getting tired of this one:)
Have a great day everyone!
Holy cow Marybeth, these are all so amazing. What an excellent coach card but the new card for a boy is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteIf it ain't broke, don't fix it :). They're very fun cards!
ReplyDeleteGreat case of your design. I love how you personalized it with the name. Coloring only some of the images is also a perfect way to individualize it.
ReplyDeleteThere's no need to reinvent the wheel Marybeth - these cards have a great design and being able to personalise it to an individual is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteBoth are great cards! Love the sketch and your variations!
ReplyDeleteI think these cards are fantastic! They make me smack my head and wonder why I can't think of things like this when it's time to make a card for a boy or a man. Ack! These are brilliant, and I agree - if it works, go with it!! ;-) Fabulous cards.
ReplyDeleteI totally remember your first card. I pinned it to case for a coach thank you card. It's terrific also as a birthday card. How nice that DH has a short enough name.

ReplyDeleteIt's a super card (both of them) so why change what is great! It's always nice to have something like this that you love to make and you know others enjoy too.
ReplyDeleteYou've got just about everything covered; love that you can personalize it by coloring in the appropriate sports theme and then make it even more personal with a name or title -- FABULOUS!!!

Not likely that any of us will get tired of this masterpiece! I need to get the sports stamp-we have lots of little boys in our family and among our friends. You did an amazing job with the alpha-blocks. I can't seem to line those up well, consequently, I never use them. TFS-I'll give it another try. :-)
ReplyDeleteHow perfect for sports teams, and so easy to personalize beautifully!
ReplyDeleteThese are great cards!
Marybeth, I really like both cards. That alphabet is very tempting! :) The sports equipment image is just perfect. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat take on your original card! I love how you personalized it!
