Waltzingmouse Secret Santa Card Exchange!
This is the beautiful card I received in the mail from the very talented Jen Cuthbertson
I love the colors and the little bits of wood.
The red ribbon is gorgeous! It flattened a bit in the mail but still holds its perfect bow shape. Almost like it was frozen in time.
not sure you can see but this was all heat embossed
This was the card I sent Deborah Frings. I made two of these because my daughter had to have one for her sons teacher. I am sure it got a bit smashed up in the mail. Sorry Deborah!

Thank you Cathy Weber for organizing the Secret Santa !
I did not know about it last year
but I think this is the second year Cathy has done this.
Thank for stopping by and taking time to comment!

The die is from Memory box; Snowflake flourish , paper is from Papertrey Ink
Snow seems to be the popular theme!! Isn't Jen's card pretty with the cute snowmen paper an bright bow.
ReplyDeleteYour card is so bright and fun Marybeth with the die cut snowflakes against the wonderful red - love the little 'snowballs' layered near the bow!
How funny - I just came from Deborah's blog and hadn't read who sent her that beautiful card so my first thought was that someone had "entered" more than one card!
ReplyDeleteYour's is wonderful and so is Jen's - This must have been so much fun - hope there will be an exchange like this next year too.
Hope your start to the new year has been good, hugs, Karin
Jen's card is delightful Marybeth ~love those sweet little snowmen! And the card you made for Deborah is divine! Love the snowflake flourish and that scrumptious peppermint stripe ribbon!!
ReplyDeleteThese are both beautiful cards, Marybeth. How lucky that two such creative beauties were sent/received to spread a little holiday cheer. Can I make a little confession? I totally forgot WHICH of the 60 Christmas Cards I made this year that I sent to my Secret Santa Sister, so I couldn't even post it on my blog. LOL. Perhaps if she posts it today, I can add it in. (laughing at myself). Happy new year to you!
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty cards Marybeth...just saw your card on Deborahs blog and it looked perfect! You must have packed it really well. I love the card you received too. Jen did such a wonderful job stamping that pattern and adding the snowmen to the top layer, and you are so right, lots of great inspiration for next year!
ReplyDeleteJen's card is so sweet with the snowmen and the wood accents! And yours with those swirls of snowflakes and bright red is stunning!
ReplyDeleteMarybeth - your card was perfect when it arrived and it will be on the mantle until 6th January! I love the little snowmen and sweet wooden embellishments on the card you got from Jen!
ReplyDeleteI was admiring your card on Deborah's blog, and now I can tell you in 'person' how beautiful I think it is. Also, you were very lucky to receive such a pretty card from Jen. I love the bow, and those wooden snowflakes.
ReplyDeleteTwo incredibly gorgeous cards!!
ReplyDeleteI love that paper Jen used...
it's fabulous and I think I must need some! :)
What a gorgeous card to receive...
and what a gorgeous card to send...
Marybeth it's stunning!!
Love the red and white...
that ribbon and label...
the die cut...
gorgeous!! :)
Your card for Deborah is sha-ut-up-stunning, Marybeth! It is a hard one to mail, but it sure would be pretty just sitting on an end table as a Christmas decoration! I found out this year that I absolutely adore pepperminty ribbons and cards and this is going to the top of my faves!!
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous cards - the kraft looks fab with the red ribbon...I may have to keep that in mind for next Chrstmas' colour scheme! And your brilliant red card is stunning Marybeth...hopefully I can join in next time
ReplyDeleteJen's snowmen are so plump and cheery looking! And I adore your tag card. I love how well that sentiment fits inside the oval, and how you have your snowy border spilling off the sides. The white is so crisp against the rich red.
