Quick post as one is almost ending. I struggled for days to come up with a card not sure why. I think I have been glued to the news for too long. It has also been very beautiful outside. We went to some of the grandkids baseball games yesterday, that was so much fun. Nothing like watching your grandson up at bat 4 times... each time hitting a home run! I know that was a bit braggie… but I think we can do that as a grandparent!
Thanks for stopping by!
Rosie Posie Stamp Set and die.
Oh there's nothing like watching those grandkids. I don't think I was ever that excited for my own!?!? Beautifully done card for MIM's alpha challenge. Have to check out the other. Learning to branch out a bit from all you pros!
ReplyDeleteOnly a grandparent can get away with that! Yay for your grandson. beautiful card as always Marybeth!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your grandson...and this is a super card. I love the colors and that sweet rose.
ReplyDeletebeautiful take on both challenges, Marybeth... thanks so much for playing along with CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteYou certainly MAY brag on your awesome grandson...that's your job! (And good for him, hitting 4 home runs!) I love your card; the black embossed "blessed" really pops against the soft blue base. Thanks for playing at CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colours - love the shine on your word! Thanks so much for playing along with us at CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have a blessed life for sure...perfect card! So glad you joined in on the fun at CASology this week!
ReplyDelete4 home runs?!? I'd brag, too! Love your card!! And I think I may have to buy that "Blessed" die...
ReplyDeleteMarybeth, sounds like your grandson is ready to sign with the SF Giants!
ReplyDeleteHow fun to get to watch him play. Your card is just beautiful and so sweet. I wanted to let you know about 4/20, it was the day that pot was legalized for recreational use, so there were celebrations every where. Not my cup of tea but I do have to admit it was fun being in San Francisco while it was all going on. My daughter collects vinyl too and has been for several years, she lives for record store day! She was in Hollywood during spring break and love the Hollywood Amoeba store. Have a great Sunday!
Such a pretty card. So simple and elegant. And, of course, grandma's get to brag about their grandchildren. It's what we do....
ReplyDeleteThis card is so gorgeous. Love the BLESSED die, Marybeth. I can't believe you ever struggle with any of your beautiful creations~they all turn out to be perfect!
ReplyDeleteBTW, congrats to your grandson, 'getting away' from the horrific tragedy in Boston is surely welcomed.
Brag all you want grandma, he deserves it after a day like that! I love your card with the big sentiment and simple design...PRETTY!
ReplyDeleteFirst - love the card! so simple yet perfect :-) the perfect paper, cardstock, die cut/embossed word, sentiment and darn that Rosie Posie (i love it so and have yet to indulge in the Rosie Posie - it calls to me every month and I won't be able to resist much longer LOL!). I knew I wasn't getting to the MIM this week - hoping to this week. And yes the news did get hold of me as well. But how about that grandson of yours! wow - and honey if you can't brag about him - WHO CAN? I love hearing happy things and grandkids are indeed that so brag away. Maybe one day I'll have some and I'll brag too.
ReplyDeleteMarybeth, what a FABULOUS card! I love the colors & the wonderful sentiment.
ReplyDeleteGrandparents are certainly allowed to brag a little.
What a lovely CAS design!
ReplyDeletewhat a gorgeous CAS design and beautiful colors.
ReplyDeletehugs to you.
Ann
very pretty!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Marybeth!
ReplyDeleteLove the soft colors with the bold sentiment!
And yes...you get to brag! :)
4 homeruns...awesome!!
I'm just happy Ryder hit one off a pitch instead of the tee on Saturday...
he said it was because of the butterfly that was flying around...
I kind'a believe him because he was a little surprised he hit himself! :)
Nice bold sentiment with the embossing! A neat contrast to the delicate, tiny-print, light blue patterns/floral. YAY for homeruns in baseball!!
ReplyDeleteOf COURSE you should brag! I wish ~ sometimes ~ I had a grandchild to brag about ~ except my son is too young so I won't go there~!!!! LOVE this card! LOVE the colors and that patterned paper with that flower and the bold blessed! FABULOUS!
