Hello! This weeks Make It Monday( which I love to play) is to make a card with collage elements.
When I started stamping my layers on each other I liked the lightness of it. As I tried to add flowers or something it just took away for the soft look. So I STOPED! Hard to believe I stopped but I did! Some of the stamps I stamped off first so the color would not be to dark. I went with the pretty colors from ColourQ this week.
I am feeling a bit dizzy today , another reason to leave well enough alone!
Thanks for stopping by!
Everything is from Papertrey Ink!

Love your overstamping and the soft pastel colours. Such a lovely CAS card, Marybeth x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful soft colours Marybeth and your card turned out just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYour card is so pretty and soft. great job!
ReplyDeleteOh WOW I LIKE it!!! You did a great job Marybeth. The colors are so and lovely. I want to try this but I don't know if I have enough collage type PTI stamps, will have to look into that! What's this dizziness business? Feel better my friend {{hugs}}.
ReplyDeletesooo pretty!! i recognized those trendy tree top leaves right away!! great choice!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove the soft colors...
and those leaves with the dots on top...
they look fabulous! :)
Hope you're feeling better!
Marybeth you did a wonderful job with this challenge. I really like the colors you used and the way in which you used your leaves. It's a nice CAS as well I think. You've left some nice white space and the card is very balanced. Well done. This is my first time playing one of the Make it Monday Challenges. I found this challenge a lot more difficult than I though it would be. Learning to choose the right stamps for a collage is a challenge itself; placement of those stamps another. I can now look at my card and see where I went wrong. This is my first time to your blog. It's lovely! And I do hope you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteSincerely,
Susie ~
Hi Marybeth, this is so pretty!! I love the softness, its like the leaves are gently falling to the ground.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Marybeth--i love the soft colors and the feeling of movement! Hope the dizziness has gone away and you are feeling better. It's best to take it easy for a while. Take care!!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful layers of borders Marybeth~great use of those Q colors too!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Marybeth. I agree that it is hard to know when to stop sometimes, but you stopped at the perfect point. I also used these colors for my collage card. I think they work because they are all nice and soft.
ReplyDeleteYou achieved a lightness that most collages are lacking. Great use of the trendy trees stamp, too. I never would have thought of that.
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better and that dizziness is nothing serious. Take card of yourself, Marybeth.
Pretty card! Stopping is SO hard to do. But it is perfect just the way it is.
ReplyDeleteWonderful design and stamping -so pretty!!!
ReplyDeleteA sweet and lovely card, Marybeth! I'm proud of you for stopping!!
ReplyDeleteBut I'm worried about the dizziness ... hope you're okay!
Beautiful card, Marybeth, I love the soft tones, the design and the way you distributed the colors! Thanks for being here each week and sharing your cards with us at the colourQ.
ReplyDeleteGreat card!
ReplyDeleteLooked through the lineup at PTI and finally found you! Your card as usual is simply perfection. Loving the sweet simplicity and stamp choices. Dizzy? Why? Hope all is well. Been away from my blog due to family in house, missed all my favorites!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on this technique, Marybeth. I'm not very good at collage types of things (which is probably why I should practice, eh??). I never know which images and things to put together without having it look crazy. I love how you used these colors with the technique. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet! A masterful use of these colors!
ReplyDeleteStunning card, Marybeth.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors and the stamps you used for this challenge!
Ummm, this is a STUNNING card! Dizzy or no, you are on such a roll these days, Marybeth. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI was suggested this web site by way of my cousin. I'm now not sure whether this put up is written by way of him as no one else recognize such particular about my difficulty. You're
