Tag You’re It ! #2

We have another, very talented guest designer:
Laura Bassen Doublestick Heaven. Look at that gorgeous tag!

Hello, Welcome to another Tag You’re It! There were so many beautiful entries, for our first challenge.
After many attempts at watercoloring with a stencil I ended up using pattered paper. The butterfly is vellum that I painted with some shimmer watercolor paints.
My Hello Die from Serendipity Stamps, has 3 layers.

Thanks for stoping by !
Cant wait so see what you make.
God Bless!

Dies: Hello Die from Serendipity Stamps, The butterfly and tag are from Lil Inkers Design.

  5. What a beautiful tag, Marybeth. So stunning. So, I haven't tried your method yet for the shaker card but am going to give it a try sometime. Will let you know if I am successful. If not, I will be visiting Colleen for a couple weeks in August and she will help me. One way or another I will make one that works. Thanks for the inspiration.

  9. I love it! Even when you don't do exactly what you set our to do, your versions are absolutely fabulous.

This tag with it's adorable paper (an inspired choice and a double-entendre of sorts) and the vellum surround, are the perfect foils for your pure white "Hello" and butterfly.

Your shaker card had me fooled at first. I couldn't imagine what kind of set the stamp was from, and then I realized you had cleverly taken from the winter set. (No one else would have thought of that!) I don't think I've ever seen anyone else put their shaker pieces in a bag and seal it, but what a great trick. Have you ever won a gift from a MIM? You should win an honorary one, just for all the fabulous creations you have contributed to it over the years.

And lastly, you hit it out of the park with your 'pop up die' card the week before. Those pink daisies are blooming brilliant. If I hadn't seen the video, and then gazed at your card for several minutes, I would have never guessed how you did it. You must have really worked to figure out how to place the dies and the cutting plates. Yours by far was the most creative work using that technique.

Some day when you want even more fame than you currently enjoy, you need to write a book on how to do it all. I'll be the head of your fan club in New England. Lucky family and lucky us, that you are so skilled at sharing wonderful you.
