Twofer Card Challenge #5 |
Hello! I cannot even believe ...it's Thursday already, feels like a Monday to me!
I've been gone almost every day this week, normally I am a homebody.
I have been wanting to play in Darnell's new challenge since it started. Yay I played today!
The butterfly die on both cards is from the Papertrey Ink: Bitty Butterflies Covertpalte die.
I have one layer of fun foam under
the panel...makes for a flat mailing card with the jewels set inside .
I used the negative for the second card.
I used the paper and stamp from : Simon Says Stamp ,
I am still enjoying, using my Bitty Big paper (Papertrey Ink) to line the envelops using Wplus9 liner die.
Behind the butterflies is an ombre patterned paper from the
SSS Kit. Jewels are from Pretty Pink Posh
Thank you so much for the visit and I hope you
have a wonderful weekend starting right now:)

A delightful twofer Marybeth and I love that sentiment. I am sure it applies to so many people...especially those in blog land.
ReplyDeleteAwesome cards for the butterfly challenge, Marybeth! And yes, I could use that sentiment with so many friends...I surely do wish I lived a LOT closer to many of them, you included...of course, my husband probably wouldn't see me nearly as much...LOL!! Have an awesome weekend and Happy Mother's day!! Heart Hugs, Colleen
ReplyDeleteSo wonderful to see you, and your butterflies, in the gallery Marybeth! That coverplate is amazing! I do love the sentiment-sized gap between the rows of those fluttering sweeties - why hadn't anyone done this before?!! And what you've done with it on your first card is gorgeous. I love that you've dropped jewels into the negative spaces! That's just brilliant! And your second card with that amazing sentiment...LOVE it! The addition of the three butterflies is perfect. Love both of your cards, my friend. Thank you so much for joining us at the Twofer Challenge!! xo Bev
ReplyDeleteI am in awe of that fabulous sentiment stamp, Marybeth! Both cards are as pretty as can be!

Your cards are wonderful, Marybeth! The ombre shades of yellow are soft and beautiful and the jewels are a great addition! Your sweet pink butterflies perfectly accent that bold sentiment (and I agree with what it says, of course)! I'm so glad you were able to play along with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!
ReplyDeleteIt's so wonderful to see you playing at Twofer, Marybeth! Your two card designs are spectacular! I love the row-after-row of pretty sweet butterflies as a "hang in there" encouragement card and love that it looks like the butterflies are popped up on the card when, in fact, they are the negative openings which makes it easy to mail with sequins! Genius! And your pretty pink butterflies are just the right punctuation for that bold and fabulous friendship sediment! I love the subtle pp you used, too! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #5 and Happy Mother's Day!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards Marybeth! I love the soft shades and jewels inset into the negative spaces of the butterflies. Just brilliant! Hope your mother's day is filled with many blessings.
ReplyDeleteThose soft yellow butterflies are simply delightful, Marybeth ... what a brilliant idea to have them set into the panel so the jewels are safely protected in the mail ... must remember that! Love that huge sentiment ... not only does it fill your oh-so-pretty pink butterfly adorned panel beautifully, the words are just wonderful! So happy to have you playing along with us at Twofer! Bon dimanche ... hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards and I love how you've used the butterfly die cuts to create two very different looking cards which are both really elegant and stylish! Thank you so much for sharing and for playing along with us over on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog... x
ReplyDeleteTwo beauties, Marybeth. Love that sentiment and is so true in so many cases. Happy Mother's Day, friend.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are just too sweet . Happy Mother's day my friend
ReplyDeleteMarybeth, I love both of your cards and am impressed at your use of the negatives! Great job!!!
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards, Marybeth!
ReplyDeleteI love how you've cut with the cover plate and added some sequins that are protected by the raised design, and resemble a shaker without the hassle of acetate! Brilliant! The little butterflies are so perfect to enhance that large, wonderful sentiment!
ReplyDeleteAn absolutely beautiful pair!! That sentiment is awesome!!
ReplyDeleteI love your Twofer ..... great idea to use the cut out butterflies on your second design. Love thatx lrge sentiment too xx
