I used 7 things: two stamps two papers and 3 inks and it took less than 17 Min.

I used Propose a Toast  and Stylish Sentiments: Birthday On the card above.

I loved having these color recipe otherwise I don't think I would have combined these colors. Thanks Papertrey Ink!

Edited to try and show the birthday is cut out of gold paper 

not black.

I had so much fun with this set. At first I was not sure what to stamp first. So I went to Nichole’s blog and she explained it was easier to stamp the stitches first. I heat embossed my stitches in gold, then stamped.  You will be seeing lots of this… I tend to over do something I love. For some reason my red is not as red as it should be … must be the iphone photo.

I guess this would have been a good comfort zone card for me .

 I took this photo last night with just a tiny bit of light left. I use the water coloring technique shown on the link above. I love how it gives these flowers a much softer look. I think I had a bit of alcohol left in my spray bottle.  Sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh. I used Coming Up Roses with the matching die and Basic Banners

 I used my stampShenanigans I was in a bit of a hurry with this one. The pink is a little better. So many possibilities with this

 I would say my card is clean and layered? 

Unless the chicken wire cancels that out.

 Edited to say maybe this is not quite all monochromatic. Hope it's ok based on some of the D.T. cards.  I know This  one is.

Food For The Soul

Welcome to a new month long challenge. The challenge is to use newsprint or  sheet music somewhere on your card. 

The DT was asked to also use a food related stamp. 

I used food for the soul. Bread and Chalice Cling Set

 For the inside of my card I used :May The Peace of the Lord

I made this card last week and forgot to post it. 

Can you see a bit of a heart shape with the ovals?

I used Heart Bouquet and Love You Small from Serendipity Stamps. I cut a small slit on either side of the bouquet pulled the ribbon through and tied the bow.

I love this stamp set and it will be used many times in my family. 

First I stamped the entire image on white , then on a piece of gold vellum . I embossed the vellum, added some foam tape and placed it over the stamped image. I also used Stitched Mats                  Trying to keep this one simple and elegant for the occasion of a First Holy Communion.
