I made this box just for fun! And yes, it was fun!
I will fill this with some See’s candy for my husband.
We really don't do the St. Valentine's Day thing…
Go out to dinner with the crowds, we go out often,
just not on that day.
I stamped the Heart Outline Die then embossed it!
I wanted to make one!
I used some paper I had left over from Christmas,
my Heart Scroll Stamp, From Me Small, Heart Outline Die from
Serendipity Stamps, a Cherry Lynn die and the new Papertrey Ink Tremendous Tags die. From Me Small
I made my band…. a belly band, that slides off.
I cant believe the weekend is almost here!
Enjoy!
Are those little kangaroos on the doily? So, so cute! I love your little candy box, it will be so nice with some See's Candy and that pretty embossed heart. It is fun to make something, just because...isn't it?
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty little box, Marybeth. I love your belly band with the sweet doily and lush heart x
ReplyDeleteMarybeth I LOVE THIS!! I was on the hunt for a FUN NEW box to whip up for Valentines Day.. I looked at the links and the tutorial and this is IT! THANKS for the inspiration!!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a WONDERFUL weekend!!!!
I love that you made this just for fun. It is a beautiful box, and will be even better filled with See's candy. We don't like to go out on VD either. Better to save it for another day.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Marybeth ~ your hubby will love this for sure! We don't do the whole going out thing either, not into crowds! The past few years I've been making chocolate covered strawberries for dessert and we watch a nice movie together!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful gift box Marybeth - the red and white combination is stunning. Love the texture of the die cuts and embossing.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy weekend - Hugs, Sylvia x
THAT is a GORGEOUS box, Miss Marybeth! Ohhhh that is so classic Valentiney too. Just love this. And filled with See's....even better!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! And that doily diecut is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteso pretty!! i love those little kangaroos!!
ReplyDeleteKangaroos! How fun! Your hubby is sure to love this, and I hope he gives you as much credit for the decoration as for the candy inside. :) So gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWow - this is a gorgeous little treat box! I love that heart stamp, and that adorable doily beneath it. So fun. ;-) Beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteYour box is gorgeous, Marybeth! Love the heart with the unique kangaroo doily. A great gift for your hubby, especially filled with See's candies!
ReplyDeleteA first for me ... the kangaroo doily! What a riot! Love all the details you put into this adorable box, just because!
ReplyDeleteAfter I saw the Christmas card you made with the diecut that goes with this stamp, I just had to order it! I love it but I've had some problems getting it to cut out clean. By using some extra card stock in the sandwich and going back and forth through my Big Shot, I've had better luck. Anyway, this is as lovely as the ornament. If I didn't already have it, I would be ordering it right now!
ReplyDeleteEverytime I see this die I think about you telling me about the kangaroos dieing! This is drop dead gorgeous - love that embossed heart and the beautiful detail of that die!
