Good morning! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! We had a good one with lots of visitors . On Sunday we visited my parents. They live a little more than an hour away.
I made this card for the 10 min craft and dash( last night) but when I did the timer I put it on stopwatch so it shows that I have 44 sec. left. We just needed to feature stars. I embossed the image but wont do that again it took way too much time. I did not have time to color in the watermelon but thats ok because I don't always color everything in anyway.
The stamp is one large stamp from Serendipity Stamps July, so that helped not take up too much time.
I saw on Joyful Creations with Kim the birthday card for Stacy. So I thought I would join in on that .
Happy Birthday to Stacy and her sister!
Thanks for stopping by!
I can just picture you racing to finish this card and also emboss. I would have had embossing powder everywhere! Love the big July stamp...have always loved the cards Jeanne makes with them and now I have yours to look forward to also. Very pretty card Marybeth!
ReplyDeleteGreat card, Marybeth. I love the background DP, works great with the image and how you've colored it. Congrats on getting it done in the time frame! The Dash is a hard one for me - gets my stress levels all worked up. ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh, this is lovely, Marybeth!
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing along with the 10 Minute Craft Dash!
This is a super birthday card--perfect for a July birthday. I'm sure you must have some of those in your family. You got a lot done in only 10 minutes.
ReplyDeletegreat job! the fact that the watermelon is not colored in puts more emphasis on the flag anyway!!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally impressed that you made this card for a craft dash challenge. It turned out wonderful...and my mother-in-laws birthday is today...this would be perfect for that.
ReplyDeleteIsn't the 10MCD just fun?! And you've really nailed this challenge. This is a great card--that stamp is amazing. Great dp too. Bev
ReplyDeleteLove it Marybeth!! The gingham border really sets off the image nicely!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely!
ReplyDeleteWonderful image for a July birthday! The blue gingham really adds to the summer theme.
ReplyDeleteI just love those stitched mats and how they frame your image. The accents on the little stars really draw your eye, too. You should enter this in SSS patriotic challenge!
ReplyDeleteThat's nothing for me, that 10 minute dash!!
ReplyDeleteI would get sooooo stressed, ha, ha.
Well, as for your card....
it's FAB!
Love the layout and the little bling you used for dimension.
And what a great idea to use a dark colour for the basis of your card!
Love the contrast with all the white and blue.
The red in the flag and sentiment makes it pop!
Bye,
Marjolein
