This month has a lot going on, but it is also:
Down Syndrome Awareness Month.
Some of you know I have a granddaughter with DS..she is such a blessing and we are the blessed ones to have her in our life.
Well, with lots of hard work and much persistence by her mom and dad she is mainstreamed. Delaney goes to the same school as her other sister and brothers….. that’s all she wants…. to go to school just like them. She is thriving! Thank God! Ok, back to the card she has a very sweet friend at school named Hunter… . Hunter has been a very sweet, kind and loving friend to Delaney. This card is for her, she invited Delaney to her birthday party …. That’s all a mom wants is for her child :to do everyday things…. Delaney does believe me!
Just wanted to remind you! Thanks for listening.
Oh Marybeth what a precious card for Delaney's friend!!I love this sweet image and your pretty design. Your granddaughter and her parents sound like very special and most definitely very blessed people. I'm so happy to know she's doing well. And I hope she has a wonderful time at Hunter's birthday party!

ReplyDeleteI love to hear stories about Delaney...what a wonderful friend she has and I can imagine how much fun she had at her birthday party. Love the cute card you made...those retro girls remind me of me and my sister way back when...although I don't think we played together that nicely! Glad Delaney is doing so well Marybeth.
ReplyDeleteYour post brought a tear to my eye Marybeth! How wonderful for Delaney to be mainstreamed at a school wear her siblings go. From personal experience she will thrive and the kids in the school will love her too. This is what society needs. So happy she is invited to a party and your card is the sweetest thing.
