Birthday for a Special Girl!

I love this MIM by Melissa
A big tip: Use Papertrey Ink vellum cardstock it's the best by far! It's so sturdy and yet you can still see through it.

I made a big smudge under this heart so I stamped it again on a vellum heart and placed it over the smudge. I always wondered how everyone did this, I learned by accident.

Seven years ago our family had heavy hearts when we learned that our GD Delaney might have Down Syndrome.  ( She is the fourth child of 6  ) It was a long two weeks before we knew for sure. I always knew God gave her to the right family … but it was hard, very hard… my heart hurt for my son in law and daughter… lots of tears. Well, we were so wrong to be sad.
I know, I tell Delaney's story a lot. I think if just one person has hope and not too much sadness it will be well worth writing it again. We were given a huge gift seven years ago, I thank God every day for Delaney. She has touched more lives in her seven years . Too long to go into . I love it when she comes up to me and says” mema….I love you and you are so funny"! Her hugs are the best! When someone in her neighborhood has a bad day they just want to spend a few minutes with Delaney and they feel better. How could you not…. she naturally points out all the positive things about you.
I know everyones children and GDC are very special.

Or anything goes!
Thank you!

Happy Birthday To You!

Happy Birthday Jeanne!
You are the Best!

Thank you Mrs. Party Planner: Joyce

Your birthday cake had to have beautiful flowers on it
just like your cards.  It also had to be elegant!
I made the card then found the cake .

Same picture different light!
I knew my card was going to have a Jeanne  Bow….
for those of you who don't know Jeanne… all her cards
have lots of dies, and almost always a bow!
You are in for a treat when you stop by her blog.
For some reason whenever I see this Tea Service  from
Serendipity Stamps I think of Jeanne.

Jeanne has been such a good friend. I will always remember her first emil to me, and from that we became good friends.  I first met Jeanne from our 12 kits group… ( I love that group of girls) Miss. Jeanne is so talented and on many..many Design Teams. She has  taught me so much…sometimes over and over…  I am very happy to be on the Serendipity DT  with Jeanne.

Enjoy Your Day Dear, You Deserve It!!!

You have more friends that want wish you a Happy Birthday

Birthday Card and A Bit about Delaney

My card ties in with the “fun” I see on the cards.

Addicted To Stamps and More Challenge

Please check back later for my Serendipity Stamps Challenge.

This month has a lot going on, but it is also:

Down Syndrome Awareness Month.

Some of you know I have a granddaughter with DS..she is such a blessing and we are the blessed ones to have her in our life.
Well, with lots of hard work and much persistence by her mom and dad she is mainstreamed. Delaney goes to the same school as her other sister and brothers….. that’s all she wants…. to go to school just like them. She is thriving! Thank God! Ok, back to the card she has a very sweet friend at school named Hunter… . Hunter has been a very sweet, kind and loving friend to Delaney. This card is for her, she invited Delaney to her birthday party …. That’s all a mom wants is for her child :to do everyday things…. Delaney does believe me!
Just wanted to remind you! Thanks for listening.

Sympathy and Happy Birthday

I took the insider online class. It was the first time I ever took a card making class. It was nice to see new ways to dress up the inside of the card.
This one is masked and watercolored with pencils .
I used my favorite sentiment: Big Day - Today from WMS.
The flower is from Hero Arts, leaves from Papertrey Ink.

Inside of card and below is the little box
I made to make it pop up

For this one I used my new Lawn Fawn set and some new
Zig shimmer pens. This little crocodile wobblies if you touch him. I had to put the circle behind it so you could  not see the
Action Wobble Springs Wobblers

Thanks for stoping by and I hope you have a great week!
