This card just seems to go with our weather.
I will not be bragging in the summer when we have no water.
Welcome!
This time the Design Team was asked to add a
blended background to our card.
For everyone else the challenge is the same… Make a card with type print or sheet music to your card. You have a chance to win 20$ off your order.
I have been trying to teach myself how to do more with my blog. I finally learned how to add the watermark that Anya Schrier made for the DT at Serendipity Stamps.
I am not the best blender but I did blend a few blues for my sky. I added a bit of Glossy Accents to the lawn chair.

ReplyDeleteThis card brings back memories! We had those lawn chairs and that kind of bbq grill. Cute card and love the shiny chair!
ReplyDeleteReminds me so much of my dad and our summertime bbqs. Such a happy card, and can you send us some of your weather? Tomorrow is rain, sleet, snow, and freezing temps! Yikes! Beautiful coloring. Your blending is just fine, btw. Mine would look like a squirrel tried to do it! lol. Really a great card, Marybeth. Love it. Bev
ReplyDeleteWhoo Hoo!!! You got the watermark figured out! Good for you...I remember how hard that was to figure out! I LOVE the glossy accents on your lawn chair Marybeth...and I agree with you, we are going to be in a whole big lot of trouble this summer. I am sweating already just thinking about it.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun card, Marybeth! The snow has melted here, but I'm not sure we're ready to bbq yet, lol. Love that glossy metal chair.
ReplyDeleteCute card...nicely done! Our bbq grill i buried under lots of snow...so I think it's going to be a while yet before we can use it.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on figuring out the watermark...that's been on my list to learn...hubby just figured out how to do it, and hopefully, will be able to teach me too.

Ooooh Marybeth I can just smell the charcoal now!!! How I long for nice warm weather and a good grilled Burger. I would be knee deep in snow right now, maybe waist deep with the drifts on the patio! This is super cute and I LOVE the shine on your chair!!
ReplyDeleteLove your watermark Marybeth! Love that card too, I am wishing for BBQ days soon! Our BBQ has no kidding 2 feet of snow on top of it!!
ReplyDeletewhat a great summertime card - I can just smell the burgers - love the gloss on the metal chair!
ReplyDeleteJD/Jill is my DW. I usually use the grill no matter what. About a foot of snow has to melt so I can see the grill to use it. Like your card.
ReplyDeleteCute card Marybeth! Now that is it warm again in georgia, I want to BBQ too! Great color blending.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card. And I love the changes you've made to your blog, including the watermark....they all look great.
ReplyDeleteTerrific card! Hope you get some rain, though.
ReplyDeleteNow that's a cute card - hard to think BBQ here but I'm up for that challenge ;-) even tho it hit the 50's today (practically a heat wave)- like the newsprint and tipped tops bg - just gives the card added interest! Watermark .... one day i'll get around to it - yay for you!
ReplyDeleteYour blending is fabulous. I love the wee scene you have created with the angled cut and the print background. It could so easily be a backyard in New Zealand.
ReplyDeleteYou did a beautifully blended sky, Marybeth! Love that lawn chair and the grill. Makes me yearn for a bbque!
ReplyDeleteLove it!m your blending is just fine!! Love your new blog look too!!

ReplyDeleteToo much fun Marybeth! Love your sweet little scene you created too, so fun.
ReplyDeleteDon't know how I missed this card! Love your fun scene, especially the glossy accents on the chair . And I'm glad you got the watermark worked out--it looks great!
ReplyDeleteLove this sweet scene. Perfect for California--even a day like today. Perhaps some day you will show me how to do a watermark. It looks so professional on your blog.
ReplyDeleteVery lovely background, which is a perfect summer scene! And, love the glossy accents on the chair! Oh, how I long for summer, but they are calling for snow again for this weekend in NW Ohio...sigh!
ReplyDeleteI love that shine on the lawn chair. These remind me of the metal chairs from when I was a kid. You and your glossy accents. They never look this good for me. I think I am too impatient!
