Oh... how I wanted to add some clear sequins to the blue card ,
but then it couldn't be a boy card maybe it's not anyway, not sure.
Hi, hope your day is going well. I couldn't wait to make a card for MIM, just looked like fun.
For two of the splotches I used a very old set that kinda had what looked like paint splotches Botanica Silhouettes and then Watercolor wonder, sentiment is Think Big Favorites #14 all from Papertrey Ink.
I think Heather said she used clear embossing powder but only the white seemed to work for me.
Let not, your heart be troubled.
Sequins : Pretty Pink Posh
Awesome cards, Marybeth!! Love your colors and I was thinking white embossing would work great too!!
ReplyDeleteYour clusters are fantastic, Marybeth!! Well done with MIM and I love the white embossing! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteBoth are wonderful designs Marybeth!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun cards Marybeth. I love the stamping and the fun sequins on the girl version.
ReplyDeleteOh my...Marybeth, both of your cards are simply amazing. You totally nailed this fabulous technique, just beautiful.
ReplyDeletelove em both!!
ReplyDeletelove the embossed sentiment with beautiful cluster stamping, fun and bright cards!!
ReplyDeleteTwo outstanding cards!! Simply beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI love that wonderful BIG Happy Birthday! And such pretty colors! You can always add sequins when you know who it's for. Your sequins always add so much!
ReplyDeleteThese are both fabulous. Love the colors, and your choice of stamp sets. I never thought about whether sequins were OK for a boy or not. Oops, because I'm pretty sure I put sequins on a card for my nephew the other day.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful, Marybeth! I think the blue one can definitely be for a boy (although my 13 year old informed me that anything with polka dots is NOT for boys, but I don't agree lol!)
ReplyDeleteLove cards Marybeth. I definitely think the blue one can be for a boy.
ReplyDeleteBTW - Congrats on being selected as a DT for Seize the Sketch.
perfect take on the MIM technique, marybeth!! love both of them!
ReplyDeleteLove the bright color - this had to be either frustrating or fun choosing all the right colors to mix and match. They both look wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLove these cards; may I say especially the pink one?!! And I agree about white embossing powder working better for this technique.
ReplyDeleteWow! Both are so Pretty, MB, and I think sequins are great on a boy card! Who doesn't like sparkles?!!
ReplyDeleteThese are so fun! I really want to try out this technique.
ReplyDeleteLOVE BOTH!
ReplyDeleteTerrific job with the MIM technique, these are FUN!
ReplyDeleteGreat MIM cards--love the colors! When you mentioned using Botanica Silhouettes, I thought it sounded familiar but couldn't remember if I had it or not. Had to go check! Can you tell I have too many stamps!!
ReplyDeleteLove them both, Marybeth...
ReplyDeleteI think I'm a little partial to the blue so I say add sequins! :)
I really like the look with white embossing--will have to try that, too! These are beautiful, Marybeth!
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous! Yes, I believe the embossing is easier and looks better, too! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are great, Marybeth! The cluster idea works well for masculine cards (with or without sequins). Fun stamp choices and will remember them for future cards.
