Hello!Just came back from vacation. We went to Yosemite National Park with family and friends and as always had a wonderful time. I am not the best camper and never camped with our own children, but now that they all go, we go too. I get eaten alive and each bite swells up and I look like I was beaten with a baseball bat. Why do I go? Because its gorgeous and I love being with my children and grandkids.
My son Richard took this picture with his phone on the 4th of July.
This was near Glacier Point Yosemite. The Lord lit up the sky!
This is how I made my background( backside of my card)
Sorry my photos are not that great.
Thank you for all the sweet comments on my past three post while I was gone.
I hope all my American friends had a wonderful 4th. Thanks for the visit today!
God Bless!

ReplyDeleteI love it, Marybeth. Bright and fresh and crisp and your border is awesome! This is not just a card made for the sake of this week's technique; this is a standalone stunner.
ReplyDeleteMarybeth, your card is fabulous! I never would have thought to use that die cut as a border. I just love it!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love your border Marybeth! I have been seeing so many beautiful cards made with that kit (including yours!!) and I'm kicking myself now that I didn't order it! And your son's photograph is just beautiful...isn't God's artistry pure perfection?! :0)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous scenery! And beautiful card. ;-) Love the red, white, and blue, and the fun border you created - very cool!
ReplyDeleteWelcome home! This is an amazing card. I love those flowers and that die you used as a border? Just amazing--can you bring it to my house next week (pretty please)?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card in red, white, and blue! Just love the fun side border...very eye appealing! And, the flowers and sentiment are so pretty! Thank you for sharing the lovely photo of Yosemite! We visited there last year and had a grand time! You sound like me with the mosquito bites!:-) But, so glad to hear you had a wonderful time away with family!:-)
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful Marybeth! Love the flowers and the gorgeous color combo!!
ReplyDeleteReally like your card and the way you did the border!
ReplyDeleteGreat vacation pic...thanks for sharing...
I know what you mean about being bitten! I have a real problem with that too...
that's one of the reasons we splurged and had our small porch screened in..
So now that's my vacation spot. Sitting on my porch...(since we spent our vacation money
on the porch LOL!) But, at least, I can sit on my porch bug free!!!
Oh my goodness Marybeth, you ROCKED this MIM technique! Amazing card!! Glad you had a wonderful family vacation. That is a gorgeous photo of God's beauty. We will be headed to the Outer Banks soon. i wonder what Penelope will think of the sand!!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all your card is perfection! Love your choice for the border! And I am the same with mosquito bites! No fun! The picture is so beautiful! Gods majesty! Thanks for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteThe photo is beautiful. We use to take our kids to Yosemite (and Bass Lake) and they are going there in a couple of weeks. In my opinion it is one of the prettiest places I have ever seen, and certainly the best in California. Your card is a great example of how you can use red, white and blue together and not look to July 4 ish. Does that make sense?
ReplyDeleteYou are so creative! I love how you did the background! Such a pretty card too! I had this kit on my wish list and now it's gone :( I'm hoping they will get more in. Your photo of Yosemite is stunning! Glad you enjoyed the time with your kids :) I'm not the best camper either! haha!
ReplyDeleteSo cool! Thinking of using that die was brilliant!
ReplyDeleteYour card is just beautiful! I love how creative you are with the dies. Seeing that photo, I understand why you let yourself get bitten! We camp too, but I probably wouldn't if it wasn't for the kids.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful layout! I love your border and am always of fan of red, white, and blue!
ReplyDeleteI love everything you do in red white and blue ! The love is showing! The background border is so clever. I got this set and haven't had time to play with it yet - took me a while to figure out what piece that was! How'd you think of this? Amazing!! And that sunrise at Yosemite is breath taking!
ReplyDeleteI love this flower and the colors! Fantastic border design, Marybeth!
ReplyDeleteYou would not believe how close we were! Spent a week in Bass Lake (30 min. from Yosemite) with family as well. Your son's picture should be entered in a photo contest. WOW! Takes my breath away.
ReplyDeleteLove those breaks, but glad to be home. Your card is fun and beautiful at the same time. Red, white and blue stately elegance. And that border is just plain brilliant! Expected no less. Going back for a 3rd look at that photo. Perfection!
You are so creative! Love how you did your border. And the red, white and blue colors are gorgeous for this fabulous card. Fantastic picture of Yosemite! Glad you had some wonderful family time.
ReplyDeleteMarybeth this turned out beautifully! I love this set and use it quite often...
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card! I pulled out this kit too in my search for inspiration for this challenge but ended up with something else. Love the idea.
ReplyDeleteBreathtaking photo Marybeth! And so is your card...I love your sweet pair of flowers, what a wonderful card for MIM.
