Betsy has an amazing video today about making a masculine project with florals.
Betsy’s card gorgeous , you’ll want to check it out using the link above!
Ok, I kinda like this card but wish I made the top
layer a little lighter, seems to heavy for a top layer.
I may do a remake.
I will have to ask my husband, later what he thinks .
Still might be to feminine for him.
I am very happy with the cluster and one flower.
I used the wood impression plate then took the ink
pad over the top to get it darker(classic kraft and harvest gold)
All products are Papertrey Ink with the exception of a few Stampin Up Inks
I hope you all have a wonderful week!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful job Marybeth. Wow you are quick this morning. I'm getting ready to tackle this one. Masculine cards are quite a challenge for me.
ReplyDeleteSo nice Marybeth! I think I'm going to have to give in and get Leaf Prints!
ReplyDeleteI really like how your card turned out Marybeth! Such a great mix of elements for a masculine card!
ReplyDeleteGreat colors! I think it turned out really well, and considering it's for a guy, the top layer isn't too heavy.
ReplyDeleteLove this design, it is perfect with that masculine look.
ReplyDeleteLove it all, including the top layer! So beautifully done, the floral cluster is gorgeous. And great masculine look too!
ReplyDeleteOh Marybeth this is SO pretty... or should I say "handsome"? heheh! Seriously this would be wonderful for a guy or a girl, it is just amazing!
ReplyDeleteWow! You are fast Marybeth! This is just gorgeous! I love the stamps you used in the cluster! And woodgrain is always a good thing on a masculine card. :)
ReplyDeleteMarybeth your card is gorgeous, but in a masculine way--ha! The colour scheme is fantastic! Like Kay said perfect for a guy or girl!
ReplyDeleteOoo, I love this! What gorgeous colors!!! What stamp set are the berries from?
ReplyDeleteOh boy Marybeth, this is fabulous!! I think it's masculine, but could work for a feminine card too. Love the cluster of leaves and berries!!
ReplyDeleteI think anyone would love this! The rich look of the woodgrain looks fantastic with the leaves!
ReplyDeleteI saw the teaser on Instagram and had to come over and see the full card. It's fabulous. I'm curious to hear your husband's opinion on its masculinity. I think it would be great for most men, just maybe not a dude's dude. You know, the type who crushes beer cans on his forehead while cheering on his football team. ;-)
ReplyDeleteFantastic card Marybeth!! Love the off-set panel and the foliage peeking out. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWow! Thats beautiful!! Just LOVE the look of the woodgrain with those colors!

ReplyDeleteWell, did your husband like it? I think it is terrific...love the top layer and those awesome leaves and that little bud from Rosie Posie is outstanding! Job well done Marybeth!! Have a terrific rest of the week! My house guest is Gone until Saturday..visiting another classmate from 50 years ago...gives me time to get in the studio and play catch up!! Heart Hugs, col

What a fabulous card Marybeth! I love all the colors you used and especially that new Saffron Spice that I SHOULD have gotten! Love the woodgrain panel on top too! Well done!! :0)
ReplyDeleteLike how your florals are peeking out from the woodgrain, which I don't think is too dark at all!
ReplyDeleteMy comment will be, as it typically is, that this is absolutely gorgeous! The comment that 'counts' however, comes from my husband, who gives it two thumbs up! Handsome and striking!
ReplyDeleteHugs~c
