Best Summer Ever

Hello ! I hope you all had a wonderful July!

I am the host for the month of July and chose this Echo Park Paper 

called : Best Summer Ever. 

 The card above was very simple to make , the sentiment is from Concord & 9th

I love this striped paper and thought it was a pretty backdrop for this Concord  & 9th  Florals Stamp set.

I used the TE ink blending brushes and some oxide inks to change the color of this popsicle then used a shimmer pen to try and make it look cold.

This one above is probably my favorite and more my style. I fussy cut the Altenew : Golden Garden stamp set, watercolored it with Zig pens. The jar is from the Greetery. Love that three step jar.

T Then Check In for MFT Camp Create Day 1

 Hello , I hope you are happy and well. We took a bit of a break on the remodel for almost a month maybe get back to it next weekend. I have found some much more needed time in the craft room , my happy place. Enjoying the Camp Create over at My Favorite Things Blog.

 Still loving my new Blender Brushes   from Taylored Expressions ! The elephants and grass are all done on white paper and totally blended. The background is watercolored.



I used MFT Jungle Friends Dies  and MFT Lots of Hugs stamps set for the sentient.

Camp Create Day 2: Remarkable Resist

Getting this in under the wire for the MFT sketch challenge. I woke up early and truly enjoyed making this Emboss Resist Background. I love this MFT Blossom Stamp along my new Taylored Expressions Blending Brushes. I could never get it smooth until now!

Ink Blending With Sentiment Stamping Only

CAS(E) this Sketch #330

Hello! I made this card last week and it was the first time using my new  Taylored Expression Blender Brushes ( love them)!

 

With the exception of the sentiment this card is all ink blended.  I bought both stamps and stenciled but only used the stencils on this card and the new blending brushes .

The sentiment is from The Greetery :Simple Things Stamp Set

The stencils are : Fir & Foliage No. 1 Stencil also from the Greetery. 

I fussy cut the tree.

We were blessed to have 9 of the granddarlings over yesterday for all day and night swimming.  Its was a crazy full pool we managed to play many water volleyball games. Today will be Mass and lots of rest :)

Just Us Girls Challenge - Trend Week #496

Simple Things

Hi there! I found some time in the craft room yesterday (made some time). I had forgotten how you can lose track of time just crafting , so much fun.

 I am so loving all the new stamps from the The Greetery  I am still working on mastering stamping the Robin & Wren Stamp Set. I found with the Simple Things Stamp Set that I didn't use the second step, stamping as much. I liked just using the first stamp a few times with a darker color and partial re-stamping. I did a combination of water and ink cubes for the greenery.

On the birds I used Distressed Oxide inks and on the greenery I used Altenew ink cubes.

Hi there! I hope you had a wonderful Fourth of July if in the US!

Summer Fruits this is the challenge inspiration for #91 Hope you have some time to play along.

I used Betsys new stamp sets from the The Greetery :Just Mason Around and Lemon Blossom . The card base is from Papertrey Ink :Don't Forget to Write. Simon Says Stamps Distressed Oxide inks and Scrapbook.com. 

I added glossy accents to the lemon and lime slices but didn't like it too much so I restamped, you can see the one in the back with glossy accents. I feel it took away some of the beautiful detail of the stamp.

Summer Fun

Hello, dose anyone know where June went!  Welcome to the 12 Kits of Occasions, our host for the month of June is Birgit . As you can see in the photo above ( taken by Lindsey) what a beautiful and bright kit it was.

 All I did was assemble the card above and stamped "thank you". I also made a envelope liner with some of the extra paper.

Hi there! My new stamps and dies came from The Greetery this afternoon. Super fast delivery. I couldn't  wait to dig in but I was in speed mode ( I would rather take my time) 

I had already cleaned my craft room as I had finished a few projects earlier in the day. Betsy makes her designs work so well with the layers in each stamp.

I made this for The Sketch challenge and last minute turned the design around. The branch of leaves is my rectangle of the sketch.

Forty -Third Anniversary Card

 Hello kind friends!  I was so afraid of using this set but knew I wanted to, for our 43 wedding anniversary  ( mostly why I bought it).

I think I was afraid I couldn't do as well as Betsy, ( and I cant) but I decided that is ok.

 I totally used Betsy's card for my inspiration and I also used her ideas. Like embossing the walkway with the stencil, when you run your hand over it you can feel each rock. I used sponge daubers with oxide inks on the walk way. I used my zig pens to color the people and a bit of the grass . The grass seemed too harsh so I ran a lightly inked dauber to soften it up.

The sky is also done very quickly with a lightly inked dauber.

I cant wait to use this set from The Greetery  again. ( no fear just fun) I wanted to add the dogs but didn't have much time to create this card. I was amazed how easy this was to make .

I am very blessed to be married to my best friend! He is a wonderful husband, great father and papa ! Not to mention one of the hardest working guys I know and love.  He can make me laugh till I can't breathe. We have received many graces making it through the tough times.
